I believe that silk, seasilk, aeterna, umbra are overrated in the city of Arx. Everybody desires to wear clothes of such luxury.

Not the fabric but the design offers glamour, in my personal opinion. I have made beautiful gowns and coats from linen, homespun and wool. I have two linen attires for sale even right now. Both of these gowns would be fitting to the Princess by the design.

Other benefits of cheaper fabrics are that they can be worn for longer time, they do not lose the color so fast and they can keep us warm during autumn and winter seasons. I really would wish to acquire more commissions from a common fabrics. Sometimes the true beauty is simplicity!

Wool, homespun, linen or other common fabrics are simply underestimated.

I am not fully sure if I should work on the men's fashion as well as on the women's.
Women seem to be more interested into renewing their wardrobe. They are always quite happy to get into a new gown or a new cloak.

I have made quite a few items for men but they do not seem to be interested. I feel like I wasted the fabrics at some point. Good that my husband will fit in some of the models!

I believe I should focus on the women fashion, indeed. Unless... I expect results too fast? Men are known to be a tad slower than women following up all the news in town.

I am still working from home. The shop is still under construction. It's hard when people have to contact me directly via messenger if any of the attires interest them. But I can easily arrange a spot for a meeting and then they can take a look at what I have. Currently I have these items for sale:

Women Attire:
* dramatic long watermelon pink dress adorned with pieces of deep mahogany garnet gems of excellent quality.

Men Attire:

* black vest with leather lacing, embroidery of a scorpion and turquoise buttons of excellent quality.
* luxurious close fitting deep blue shirt with deep orange citrine stones, leather stripes and an embroidery of heart accents of excellent quality.
* burgundy silk shirt with an owl embroidery, leather stripes, lace and crimson garnet buttons of excellent quality.
* dark brown tunic with gold vine and leaf embroidery and malachite stones of excellent quality.

Usual and affordable for common folk:

* linen dress with long sleeves, floral ornament, wooden buttons and unique design of superb quality.
* dark green linen robe with a hood, very wide skirt, embroidered birds and long sleeves of superb quality.

My husband's and mine shop is still under constructions. My poor husband fell ill. I hope he will get better soon. To keep myself busy and less worried, I was sewing at our small rented room and now I do have three dresses for sale:

* sleeveless gown with pure gold and gemstone butterflies appliques of excellent quality.

* black long high-neck gown with sapphires and a small train of exceptional quality.

* sheer, weightless pure white silk nightgown decorated with gold and moonstones of excellent quality.

I wonder if I will be able to sell them. It's hard, though, when you are without a shop. I have been lingering more north from the city center, hoping that someone will notice those dresses. I could go to the market but the place is already quite crowded and it is hard to rent a stall there.

I had a very beautiful dream tonight.

It was a warm summer evening. I was back at home and almost a decade younger. My husband was my best friend by that time. We have been sitting under a large oak, leaning against it's stem. He was simply telling me about his workday. His father was pretty strict at teaching Alessio. He was quite tired and I just simply enjoyed the wind, the soothing voice. I leaned my head on his shoulder and a butterfly landed on his knee.

It was a very beautiful butterfly.

I woke up. I was inspired. I rushed into the back of my shop and started sewing. It's going to be a magnificent gown.

I have sold my first dress today. I can not wait to tell my husband about it. I hope he will be proud of me!

Lady Brianna Halfshav bought it and as far as I understood she was very happy with the design since I received a special request from the lady.
I shall not waste my time and focus on completing her order. I hope it will earn me good recommendations!

We have received a loan.

The contract was arranged as we were promised. I am still very impressed with the urgency and helpfulness of the Crafters Guild.

I am already working on a couple of new dresses. I challenged myself by creating a quite dramatic long navy blue dress adorned with pieces of deep orange citrine gems. The drop-waist design of that gown gives the floor-length tiered skirt a tightly curve-hugging style. Only a very brave lady might actually desire for this type of an attire. I could see one wearing it at a masquerade. I heard that many are held in Arx.

Though, I do not forget common birth people. So, I used a design cherished by many noblewomen and found a way to represent same dress using only linen and a few laces. I did not color the fabric leaving it of a natural tone. I added additional layers of fabric to the skirt making it incredibly full and swish with each step. I am feeling quite proud of this one. After all, every woman shall walk feeling self-confidant and beautiful.

Finally, I created couple coats, nightgowns, gloves and some trousers for men. Usually, I focus on women fashion but I will have to change it here in Arx. Now I only wait when my husband will repair that house we have bought. I am very excited to get back to sewing and pleasing my customers!

I really hope we will have some customers... I feel as if I forced my husband to move to Arx. If we will have a very hard start, he might grow disappointed...

I received a generous loan offer just after I finalized my last entry.
As I expected, the offer is more than fair and I place my signature with ease.

Now it will be for my husband to find a house and renovate it.
I will assist as much as I can, but he is much better at those matters than I am.

Once he will be finished, I will make sure to add a woman's touch to a decor.
Mainly, it will be flowers.

It's been only few days since my husband and I arrived and all people were way friendlier than we expected.

Especially, I was surprised by a warm welcome of the Crafters Guild. It seems that they are working closely together not against each other as competitors. I can appreciate that. While we have sent a request to Guildmaster Joscelin, Master Oliver Arterius reach out for us on his own merit! Later we received a very pleasant suggestion from Guildmaster Joscelin.

We will not just sign the contract of a loan but we already received a gift which will allow us to start our business properly. Such support is absolutely necessary on the first days in a new place. We are still waiting for the contract but I am pretty sure it will be well made.

So, I want to give thumbs up for the Crafters Guild of Arx.
It's a pleasure and an honor to become a part of it.

It was a long journey from Lenosia to Arx. Many days have passed. There was not even one day when I wouldn't think of my brother, sister and parents. It's my first and only time when I travel so far away from home. At least I had my Alessio beside me. I know that I shouldn't worry. Even if we will face any troubles in our future, he for sure will know how to resolve them. However, I still wonder...

* Will we get loan for our shop and home?
* Will people accept our way of crafting jewelry and clothes?
* Will we earn enough that we could start a family?
* Maybe we will earn so much that my siblings will be able to come and stay with us?
* Maybe we will earn so much that I will be able to send gifts and resources to my parents?

While those questions can not be answered now, I at least learned that I would be the worst sailor of all. Passing the river was the most terrible experience. I had a light nausea and heavy headache.

Arx, get ready! Family of Moretti is here!
