I made a nice little bed and bench combination for Lady Clarisse this week, I didn't recognize her at first but then I remembered we met at the Traders Tavern once before. The furnature was a nice dark walnut stained to look similar to bark with green vines, she gave me a tip too, such a nice lady.

I've been busy at the workshop most of the week, but I got some time set aside every day walkin' across this real narrow board, doing stuff to keep my balance and reflexes up, using my hands and all that. Vann's always around with me, I'm hoping this stuff will rub off on him too. I've also been telling people around here to start calling the Beach Walk, Culler Walk instead.

I finished my first bit of furnature today, it's a seachest, came out really, really good! Maybe I'm a natural! Also Raja and Samira thought of some funny names I could use for my shop.

I met this guy Jhond Langst, seems like a good man, really in shape, it's impressive! We talked about the rope-walking I want to learn and he gave me a lot of tips for training.

So, a while back Vann helped me tie some ropes from building to building, just a few in the lowers, we tied them to a few rooftops and I've been trying to practice running along them, 'course I'm not crazy so I tied one up above me so I could have a tether, boy did I need it! So now I'm thinking I need to get some more practice with this stuff. If I can run along a rope and teach some soldiers to do it too we could use that during sea battles, or just for running messages..

My new carpentry mentor, Zakhar sent me a woodworking toolkit, it's really nice. I been showing it to my family, showed it to Raja, Samira, my sister Acacia, and Torian at a family dinner. They're being real supportive of me opening my own shop alongside the other Cullers down at Beachwalk.

I havn't been writing in my journals and I know I should, so here goes. I just been fishing and spending time with family a lot, but I've been wantin' to learn carpentry. So I met this guy Zakhar, he says he knew my dad, and he's showing me woodworking and all that.

Met a famous sailor today, Marquis Dio Seranceni, I think this guy's my idol, he's got his own boat, tough crew, hot first mate. He offered me some work, and I think I'll probably take him up on it. Later I met up with that new friend and her dog at a bar and she bought me a drink and read me this suggestive book about cooking. It was really funny, she thinks I could write stuff like that. I'm better at speaking my flirty words than writing them down though.

So good to get back to my family, saw my sister Acacia at the Culler family dinner. Torian's the man in charge now, which I think is good for us, he's got a good head on him. Met this beautiful woman with a great pet dog, obsessed with food, I met a fellow sailor named Drifa, mostly been hanging out on the docks and getting familiar with the familys ships and their crews, hopefully I'll captain one some day.

Just returned home, Arx, it's a lot like I remembered it. Figured it'd be winter when I get back and during a week of straight snow. The family seems like it's doing good, I mean there's new ships for the trading, new buildings for the orphans and for the family members, but I can't help but feel the cullers don't have the clout they should. I see other folks wandering the lowers talking down on us, oh they do it all innocent-like but, it's a reminder to me that my family should be more respected than we are.
