Things have been picking up really nicely now that I'm back in Arx. For a few weeks I was totally without connections and it seemed like all my chances might've dried up like so many sun-baked riverbeds, but desires flow freely in Arx and there is always some part of the chains of commerce that is lacking. Once again I've found a place filling that gap in the chain, and profiting as well. Now just to actually do something with this, to fulfill some of my own desires.

It has been a strange experience coming back to Arx after such a long while away. I'm happy to have been able to visit Chevalle. It was bittersweet, but ultimately worth it to catch up with friends and family, collect some of my favourite keepsakes, and to talk with mum and dad and pay my respects. But I am back now, and I am ready to rebuild.

I really regret missing the joust! I enjoy watching, even if the atmosphere can get a little... intense, for my tastes. It's good fun.

Perhaps I should turn my efforts to keeps. Unlike dresses, keeps are always relevant, until some new, horrible thing makes walls and fortifications useless, at any rate. And even then, they can still house people.

Oh, a dilemma if there ever was one... I have such stockpiles of dress material and weapon material, but they could sell for so much in the current market... The choice between investing in oneself and one's pocketbook is such a strain.
