Gentle Readers,
Since returning to Arx I have considered who I wish to spend my time with while staying in the Capital. While family is important, I also with to branch out and create further alliances with those I may offer my talents to. I wish to further my diplomatic work, and strengthen ties between prodigal houses and the Faith. There are so many things I would enjoy, though I think I would enjoy them more doing them with others.
I have found having a patron to be fulfilling in the past and now that I have returned I wish to find someone who I can aide just as much as they can support. Someone who understands and yet holds me to as high of a standard as I hold myself. Applications are being taken.

Gentle Readers,
I have found myself once more within the beautiful capital, having taken a moment to return home to do a bit of research on this and that. While sometimes such leads to new questions rather than answering the old, it only means that there is more to focus on and a wider variety of paths to explore. It means that there are opportunities and one should never shy from such things. I find that I look forward to taking these paths to wherever they may lead, and hopefully they start new ones at their finish.
In the mean time I look forward to catching up with friends and family, meeting new people to cause trouble with, and sharing as many stories over a strong glass of poor decisions.

Relationship Note on Thea
The newly proclaimed Countess Thea Wyrvenheart (nee Malvici) has quickly made a good impression on me. It is no surprise that a noblewoman of House Malvici would flourish in the Oathlands lest we forget Princess Caelis Valardin, wife of the now former High Lord, Prince Edain. Though she seemed a bit out of sorts, unsteady like a new born fawn in a role she was not prepared to take, I have all the confidence in her that she will succeed with great aplomb in her role and duty to the people of HighHill. I very much look forward to seeing the Countess again soon.

Relationship Note on Marius
Since our return to Arx, my beloved husband has thrust himself into the business of leading his March from afar. I can barely tempt him out of the study with my sweet buns and trust me, I do not get my hands dirty kneading dough for just anyone! However, after all this time, I still find myself very much in love with the man I noticed at first blush. Our political arrangement has grown into something deeper and far more affectionate over the years. Thank you for always dancing with me.

I am so pleased by Jamie's return to the city of Arx and it is most serendipitous that it coincides with mine. It has never been truer before that one can know family but not really -know- family. The humble trait runs deep among the Greenmarch men and Jamie is certainly not excused from this. Perhaps -too- humble, but it is an admirable quality, especially from a warrior of such great esteem. He need not worry about the spoons when wields his words as good as he wields his sword.

Relationship Note on Corban
There are some family that are close to us. There are other family that are the foundations on which we draw our strength and comfort. You are one of those for me, Cousin. I cannot tell you how glad that I am that you are safe after your recent encounters. I thank the Gods that you are returned safe and sound.
And with that all said, I cannot tell you how proud that I am of you to see how well you have excelled in your chosen calling. It gives me comfort to know that you are there to protect our King each and every day.
Though you are no longer family in title, you shall always remain so at heart. I look forward to hearing all about all of it. We are definitely due some cousin time, very soon!

Relationship Note on Arik
Our family has been very busy of late with preparations for many things. Yet we took time to meet with Lord Arik at his request. Something which I am quite grateful that we did. It is not the first time that he has approached us with a request for a meeting. Yet, as before, his forthright manner was quite refreshing; and his assistance has been very helpful. For this, I wished to record my acknowledgement of his efforts in my journal. He has earned the trust of House Greenmarch through his actions.

During a visit to the Shrine of Vellichor, I had the great fortune to meet a pleasant gentleman who indulged my love of discussion quite graciously. Our conversation was both interesting and entertaining.

I apologize for not having made an update to the whites for quite some time. Marius and I have been away to the Greenwoods for a short trip. Though I have just returned to Arx, Marius has chosen to stay behind for now. I shall miss him, but I know his reason is wise and our projects at home will be better off for his personal attention. I do hope he can return soon though.
In catching up on the whites, I must admit that sometimes I find it highly amusing to simply see the manner of things that people argue over. It can be quite enlightening to the character and personality of those involved in the argument to simply see what leads them to such impassioned discussions. I suppose everyone has their topics, mundane or otherwise, that they simply cannot walk past without comment.
As to myself, there are a few projects here that require my immediate attention; but if there are other issues then I shall be making contact once more with friends and family to lend my aid as needed. For those that have been waiting on me, please know that I shall reach out to you quite soon so that we may continue our work.

Gentle Readers,
The reception for Alessandro and Margret in honor of their wedding was absolutely lovely! I cannot express just how wonderful a job that Margret did in decorating the gardens to turn it into a winder wonderland. Seeing my cousins so happy made my heart lift with joy as well. We are blessed to have Alessandro join the Greenmarch family.
Seeing our allies from House Redrain and House Velenosa also made me quite happy. I very much look forward to having them visit us at Greenmarch Lodge as often as possible. And, of course, the King's attendance was such a wonderful honor to my cousins and to our house!
And I deeply enjoyed the time spent with Duke Vercyn this evening. His presence is, as always, comforting and gracious. I have always held the deepest respect for him and this night simply confirmed it.
All in all, it was truly a magical evening.

Relationship Note on Alessandro
To continue our discussions that began as a part of my research, Prince Alessandro invited me to visit the Shrine of the Thirteenth with him today. I cannot say that it was an easy visit or a comforting one. It was quite unsettling, yet also entirely intriguing.
I can honestly say that I am grateful he has become my friend through this journey. I am glad that he will be joining our family and I look forward to many future discussions with him.

Gentle Readers,
Things are coming along quite nicely for Margret and Alessandro's wedding. To help them and because honestly it needed to be done, I took on a project to rehabilitate our gardens, which were, simply put, wild before. I am pleased with how it has come together. Just yesterday, the final touch was delivered, a lovely statue crafted by Master Black to honor Alessandro as a part of our family. Seeing both his and Margret's reactions has made the entire project so worthwhile.
And on that note, I cannot recommend Master Jayeth Black highly enough. He is truly a skilled artist and wonderful smith too. Though our family alone has kept him quite preoccupied on making statues! If you wish someone who can provide wonderful, quality work and vision, he should certainly be at the top of your list.
I do hope that all of our friends and family enjoy the gardens. I will have to start planning my next project soon, but I do believe a small break is in order first.

We had quite the scare this morning from Marian, but I am happy to report that all is well. Mae gave her approval for Marian to be moved and we got her safely settled at Greenmarch Lodge. She will be staying with us for an extended time, until she has the babies and feels up to returning home. Though we all hope she stays as long as possible of course. I am certain Myrddin and Nia will enjoy the time together playing too!
I will have to think up some good strategies for keeping her settled so that she doesn't try overdoing it. I fully plan to enlist the entire family in this pursuit!
I should be returning home for now though.

I was asked to do what seemed a fairly simple task at the time... to help clean up and improve the gardens next to our home. It was a wild and relatively overgrown area. I thought to myself that we would simply hire an army of workers and perhaps a few designers to help. After all I know nothing of planning a garden!
Much to my surprise though, I found the design of it enjoyable and ended up doing it all myself. The workers were sometimes a bit lacking in the ability to understand simple orders; but after much work, it has finally come together.
I must give my thanks to our family for being so patient with me... never before in my life have I been seen in such a frightful state with twigs in my hair and all! But in the end it was worth it and it is ready just in time for the party in Cullen's honor. I hope they will all love it.
Well that is all for now. It is time to rest.
