It's been too long since I've had a party. You know the kind! When everyone is having a good time, screaming loud all night long, only to end up all over the floor. A mess to clean up for the host, but so fine a time!

Relationship Note on Wagner

You can do one or the other, certainly. But I for one find doing both at the same time is far more satisfying!

The following was sung by Sigismund Ulbran when one too many noble decided to brave the Murder. The man may have had quite a few bottles to drink, though that didn't stop him from dancing on the tables or singing on point:

Step right up!
We bring to you the finest entertainment
And I am pleased to be your humble servant
Accept our hospitality
Indulge in abnormality

Step right up!
We've something here for everyone's enjoyment
I do this as a gift—not for employment
A portrait of insanity
Approached with pure humanity

Come see our silks! Crazy silks!
If you're willing to be thrilled, this is a hell of a ride!
Those silks! Crazy silks!
They're hot! They're nuts! They're suicidal!
Tickets cheap! It's a crime!
And they're half price after four o'clock so toss us a dime
To see these lovely freaks of nature for a limited time!
Come see the silks! Silks! Silks!

Some of them are really quite attractive as you'll see
And some are truly hideous—I'm sure that you'll agree
While others still look rather quite a lot like you and me
But you mustn't let them fool you!
Just one more rule:
You shouldn't look this one too long in the eye
That one, let's just keep walking by
These ain't no ordinary silks, and we've a steady supply
So grab another bottle of beer and follow me!

To see the silks! Crazy silks!
If you're willing to be thrilled, this is a hell of a ride!
Those silks! Crazy silks!
They're hot! They're nuts! They're suicidal!
Tickets cheap! It's a crime!
And they're half price after four o'clock so toss us a dime
To see these lovely freaks of nature for a limited time!
Come see the silks! Silks! Silks!

Well today was a productive day. Other than my meeting of family and strangers at the Murder, I also got to visit some of my children still living in Arx. A little more than a dozen, in fact, some with families of their own! I shared with them the news from their siblings who left to move out to the other fealties and that took most of the day.

Meeting the grandchildren is always fun. I get to see whether their parents have understood what I taught them. It gives me a valuable opportunity to learn where my children have gone wrong and to correct the problem.

You'd think I'd have perfected the technique after more than two dozen kids but it's really more complicated than it looks like.

Ah, to have returned to Arx after my little trip. Nothing's changed, except the things that have, so on and so forth.

I hear we're to have a crusade. Should be entertaining to watch it unfold. From far, far away.

Someone has to stay home and look after the kids.
