Taking a walk through the market today brought me to my new favorite sausage vendor. Her family raises pigs not far from the city in an area I'd never been to. Now I know where to angle my walks. Not because I find pigs interesting, but because I've been feeling the need to travel somewhere and I and I can get there and back in a day.

If I could offer every shopper, every would-be patron of a Crafters' Guild member one piece of advice? It would be that they should tell us a story. Tell us what the importance of a piece is. Are you adding symbolism, then explain why. Do you hope to take this to battle and find glory? Is it a necklace for a lover? Then give us reasons, give us tales. That is where we draw our inspiration. If you want our best work, give us yours.

This morning a customer came in to purchase a ring for himself, but was distraught to not know which finger he would have it on. So, dear reader, let me elaborate on what the fingers men for men's rings.
First, let us discuss the hand. Your left hand is nearest your heart, and so what is worn there are things that symbolism your heart: symbols of passion and character, declarations of love and loyalty. The right hand is your physical hand; if you wear a ring here, it is for more worldly matters.
The thumb ring is a sign of wealth and power. If you have an abundance, then this is where you show it off. Just remember to coordinate with which hand. An abundance of friends is surely a wealth, but is better suited to the left than right hand.
A ring worn on the index finger is an oddity, and one sure to attract attention when worn there. A ring on the index finger is frequently used to display membership in an organization, or family. These rings make a statement and are frequently seen when you gesticulate.
Worn on the middle finger, a ring becomes a symbol of masculinity and daring.

I've never worked with Mirrorsilver before. The metal monger in the market was quite vocal about its beauty, shine, and its many uses. I couldn't not try it. It was new!
And quite difficult to work with. A challenge that will have to be taken up again. For now, a necklace has been placed in the shop.

I'm not ashamed to admit I fell asleep in the workshop more than once this week. The journey to Arx has been long, eventful, and a treasured set of memories. But this week? That's been nothing but work. Worth it, though.
The wagon's parked in the back, ready for when I need it. The horses are stabled nearby and cared for. And now there's even metal in the stock room and orders flowing in. The Bright Forge, I've named it. A place to forge dreams in metal.
