Adding to your vocabulary can be scary (yes that rhymes) but quite nice, too.

Thank you to Lady Emily Deepwood and Lady Zoey Kennex for having hosted the Tournament of the Hart (Round 1). Lady Rosalind Ravenseye and I both shot true and never missed. We will be representing the Northlands again in round three (after the winners of the second round are determined to see who else will be competing versus us, too).

For making possible a certain set of wedding rings, thank yous go out to Mockingbird Evaristo, Goodman Asher, Goodwoman Ephrath, and Goodwoman Sorina: your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

To one 'Horse-Eater Jim', I am sorry if you are hungry, but my horse team is very special to me. They are not for sale and they are also not for eating. Should any harm befall them, the perp might want to pray that the Iron Guard finds them (before Sir Floppington and I do).

You better believe that the Northlands has some of the best iced/snow tea.

Although I once won the creativity prize at a poetry contest one year, it is really hard for me to put together the right verses. Yet, I still try!

And then... there is that random person who shows up, gives you a sling shot, tips their hat, and slinks back into the shadows from whence they came.

Goodboy Pickle and Sir Floppington are the best boys. My sibling team of Northern mares are good girls, too. My Morien Man (Goodman Tarik) has been diligently working with them both and Sir Floppington on new tricks, too.

Relationship Note on Tarik

Sir Floppington helped me write This One.

As deep as the Whirlpool were her eyes and her growl.
As sharp as Frostfang were her claws and her fangs.

As niveous as the Everwinter was her mewtiful fur.
(It was as soft as Silk and as warm as Fireweave, too.)

***

She was feral as cat be. A dangerous stray, indeed.
She and the humans had a history. It was not a good one.

Sometimes, those humans would come to the back alley. And then,
they would dare to draw too near, and... she would bite them!

Not only blood would be shed but also tears would rain, too!
And oh! How those humans would scream, and then they would flee!

Some would tell her that she was boring, mean, and stingy.
Mayhaps true, but she would hiss and sharpen her claws amew.

Some would complain and lament that she was not as good as
other kitties who were stronger and who would like those pets.

She was too proud to ever be handled without care, though.
Still free, she would climb up the fence and strut, indeed!

***

One day, yet another human decided to enter the back alley, but...
...This One smelled different than all the others before them.

This One looked at her with the kindest eyes. This One told her the
most amazing stories that she had ever heard in all of her Nine Lives.

She deserved to be loved and to be respected they told her, and
that if they ever had a kitty like her, they would hang onto her.

She could feel herself wanting -- yet afraid -- to be with This One.
Could this be true? Could she be sure? Or was This One all a Dream?

Too much of a scaredy cat to make a decision right then and right there,
she flicked her tail and sauntered away! What would come another day?

Since that whelming moment in Time, she could not stop thinking
about This One and how much they cared. And so, that was not the end.

***

After trying to sort herself out for a few days, she finally did decide.
She catfully approached the door of This One and mewed to be let inside!

A hilarious quote by an old friend at the Golden Hart: "Well. Given up alcohol, what's next, join the Valardins? This is madness." I so laughed aloud!

At the Winter Golden Buckle Tourney, I did not win, but I managed to last for sixteen seconds, and it was a good ride. I did not get mangled like some! Congratulations to Lord Michael Bisland at 19 seconds.

For a hilarious lark, a couple assistants in the Defense Lab put together this chickenesque doll of natural rubber as its primary basis plus extra alchemy. This 'rubber chicken' lets out a high-pitched squeak/wheeze whenever it is manually squeezed! I love this thing so much. It is so hilarious!

I used to pride myself on being a machine (without need for break or nap), but now that I cat nap here and there throughout the day, I actually feel /significantly more/ 'work productive' than before. Who would have thought?!

Yes! The snow is here! Rejoice! Sir Floppington, Squire Clovis, and I built a snow family behind the Defense Lab. One man, one woman, and 2 good boys!

Thank you to all those who showed up to the event in my honor with their letters, speeches, strength, and steadfastness. It was a wonderful time that will not be forgottten. I am beyond blessed to have such enduring friends, especially the amazing Morien man who hosted plus Sir Floppington in my life.

Are you good at arm wrestling but even better at flexing like a macho person?

Are you good at drinking knights and nobles under the table (most of the time) but even better at being beat in that same regard by Lowers lasses who show up but then you still win a dress tailoring even though you totally lost?!

Are you good at writing as a scribe (but even better at lettering people with 'nonstandard ideas' paired up with rediculous undertones)?

Whether you know the answer to any of these questions (or not) matters not because you can come to the Like-A-Rowenova Feast and Game Night [ @cal 4603 ] -- at the Golden Hart (thank you Princess Valencia!) -- and find out for yourself, or... well, whether you are like myself. Hah! (Do not forget to bring along your like-me letter if you are planning to try to write like me!)

Many thanks and much Love to my Morien Man: the Handsome Host of all this and the very best of future husbands!

Oh! How I miss the snow. I miss it so! I miss the snow, especially during this weather to which I say no! But, the sweltering summer heat is still so. Oh!
How I miss the snow!

Sometimes, I joke that I am the Luckiest Woman. I think it is true, though. Others in Love may disagree. I can empathize with their perspective, indeed.

I never thought I would find Love again, but I am so lucky that Love came to me when I least expected it to, and it came to me in the form of a Northern born who was raised right and who writes to me as well as works hard and much more!

To the Finest of Men: thank you.

Dame Morrighan Marin custom tailored the most perfect aeterna gown for my upcoming wedding with Tarik Morien. It is absolutely beautiful beyond words, and there is not enough thanks that I can give, but thank you so much!

Sparte Grayfellow kindly aided us in finally finding the perfect topaz (not far from Cascade Springs) for the intricate beading which brilliantly shines along every hem of the wedding dress, doing so as a favor returned for time worked with the Order of East Light and the Society of Explorers (in his stead).

Also, this is a shout out to Harlequin Evaristo for all his hard work to meticulously design our wedding rings of star iron with their cobalt/copper/silver weave. We will soon figure out the inscriptions text for secret messages along the inner band, and then those will be all done, too!

Thank you so much, my friends! I am beyond eager to soon marry my Morien man!
