The poker game with the Iron Guard was a lot of fun, even if Mina was completely outmatched by Sparte and Kenna's skill at the game. In the end the pot went to Lord Jyri's ARRG, helping refugees, there's certainly nothing to complain about there. Hopefully there will be more opportunities to spend time with guard members, they all seem so kind.

I've been having trouble sleeping...but it was nice to take a break today at the Golden Hart. Princess Valencia was there, it was nice to see a Princess doing things with the common folk, even if there were plenty of important people there with us. I seem to have a knack for Queens Crossed, once I accrue some wages, I think I'd like to come and play to see if I can get lucky. Though, that is for the future. Here's hoping I can find rest tonight.

Things are going...I was going to write 'well', but I'm just please that things are continuing to 'go'. My investigation continues, and my work for the Iron Guard has kept me busy...but the reports of the theft of the Lenosian wine I find alarming. It feels like it's the first domino in a series that will fall if thieves and crooks think that the authorities are too busy to deal with them. I honestly don't know if that will be the case, I'm just a farmgirl...I'm not anything special. But I would hate for my inaction to bring about such a thing. As such I've written the lieutenants of the Iron Guard to request permission to look into it. I hope for a favorable reply, but we shall see. I still haven't proven myself, or at least I haven't to my own satisfaction. Perhaps this will allow me to do so.

It's been a stressful day after a night of no sleep. The insanity that was the Assembly of Peers left me with a feeling of dread that I can't really shake. Every shadow I see is a Cardian or Empiral agent that wants to snatch me up and take me away...I hate it. I hope the King can sort through this and make me feel safe again.

I can't believe what happened today! Sparte was so helpful, he told me that by my talking about people and painting them in a good light can change things. I couldn't help thinking, 'A country bumpkin like me? Changing things by just chin wagging like I always do...nonsense! But apparently what I was matters. Who'd've thunk?! I was accepted into the Iron Guard and was able to do some work, I feel so useful. I'm in tears right now. My family is just amazing.

Dear Journal,
It was a great day to come to Arx, not only did I already meet a member of my family, I was able to meet two nobles of Whitehawk and one of the princesses as well. They were all incredibly kind, and welcoming, I even get to stay in a manor tonight! Supposedly, Sparte (that is the family member I met), will be able to get me a place to stay and between Sparte and Lady Kenna (one of the noble ladies), I might even be able to do some work for the Iron Guard! I need to figure out something to do for them to make up for it, but there's really not much I can offer them since they have so much. I'll figure something out, though, I always do.
