I met the Princess Consort of Thrax. My intent was to request access to the estate library and I gained this, but I also believe I gained her ire.

Mother,
The Lady Medeia has offered to be my mentor with the Physicians. I have seen her at work and know her to be skilled. I am confident that with her guidance, I will become someone who can save lives.

I am to study at the Apothecary College. No, I know it is not a properly boastful occasion, but it is one I am proud of all the same. I am putting myself out there, scars and all.
And you know what, mother? I am being welcomed. The people of Arx are so very unlike those of my childhood. They let me in their games.

You would be proud. I fought back. I lured my captor into a false sense of security by feigning a fright so great I fainted dead away. My compatriots were well and able to take the situation in hand, no doubt due to the quick thinking of a distraction on my part.
