When the call for aid goes out it amazes me how many have answered. The Oathlands finds ain't from every quarter when the need arises and I can not be more proud for the allies we have cultivated. I am glad to work with every one of these honorable members of the Compact.

I have always been told a busy mind does not allow for someone to dwell on their worries though I think it to be false. Worries never truly go away and they tend to need to be thought of lest they drive you awake in the middle of the night with their incessant chatter. Here I am, tending to troubles I should not even be considering and writing away in my journal to try to quiet the thoughts that steal the precious hours of sleep I do get.
Nothing shall change. There will always be new worries, imagined or real. It is the fate of being cognizant. Cursed and blessed in the same breath. Everything must have its balance.

A whole Oathland's house gone. The idea is a terrible though the action abhorrent and a great loss. May they find peace and may the Oathland's faithful find those responsible.

The random meetings one has in Arx are a plenty and I realize how lucky of a thing that is. In Sanctum I would never have the good fortune of random chance meetings. Not a high probability that is. Here? Here we are a melting pot, the testing ground for something greater. A meeting of minds and purposes and it all reveals itself in some great tapestry that frays, unravels and yet still manages to hold together.
It may look like chaos and disorganization but turn your head at a different angle and you can see the pattern unfold. There is reason and purpose. There is a measure of order and fate but there is also freedom that makes itself known in different hues and splashes of inspiration.
Keep weaving. Arx lives through each of us.

Lord Michael, your ability to put away so much alcohol and still manage to carry on a conversation - let alone stand - is both amazing and rather concerning. I suggest maybe trying water and not taking up the drinking contest every time you attend a party. Thank you however for attending and congratulations on winning the mug. You managed to drink everyone else under the table and in turn raised the bar so they finished quite a bit of plum brandy off.

I thought to write to you about Basil since you seem to be so greatly concerned about the well being of the lamb. Basil is well and full of delight and far too much energy. I worry that our grounds are not extensive enough for her but she seems to be growing bigger by the hour - which is likely true. She eats far too many leafy greens then is likely advisable for I do not even like that many leafy greens. I will keep you advised to her status.
