Thrond and I have decided to get married. We have been together for some time. Though, when he went away, it was so sad for me. However, he came back! It seems our flame is kindled and we have decided to become a legitimate couple. Now, it is just figuring out what we should do to initiate this wedding to happen! I need to find a shaman. I also need to figure out what we should wear. I might even splurge and buy silk!

I was honored to go on a mission with Lady Thea and her companions. We traveled through wood, rain, sunshine, cold.. Our purpose for our journey was to find the ever-elusive Sundraw! It is a beautiful plant that grows where the sun never shines. The flower holds it's own glow! Legend has it that when something very terrible happens in the lands, the flower drops it seeds. After traveling through a dark wood, crossed a deep chasm on a crumbling rope bridge, and fought off a pack of wolves, we found the flowers! There were only two. As we crouched before the flower, it gave up it's seeds for us. I am so very thankful to Lady Thea for allowing me to keep some of the seeds. Now, I will see if I can be successful in cultivating the Sundraw as I was the Suncatchers!

It's been a while since I have written in you! Hello journal!! I had an idea. I am going to spend this winter trying to convince Darren of my idea and to study how to make this happen! I want to begin my idea in the spring. I want to improve agricultural trade! I want to create a network of farmer's markets in the Northlands. So many of the communities out there are agricultural. They need the best support they can get! I just need to figure out where to start.

I do love learning about new herbs and plants! The gods and spirits have brought forth such an abundance of beautiful things. I heard of a plant I have never seen! I heard it is bioluminescent and golden. It is called the Sundraw. I mean, how exciting is it to find something new, and it glows in the dark! I hope it is a real plant and not just a made up story, but I will help to find it.

It seems the world does not stop just because it seemed to have paused for me. Things go on around me at such a tremendous pace that I cannot keep up! It is ok. I realize I don't have to keep up, just as long as the end purpose is done. Though, I learned to not to get too excited about thinking things aren't happening just because I didn't see it. The world simply does not wait for one person.

The world moves so fast! I had been laid up for a short time after giving birth to little Dahlia. I was truly apprehensive about having a child. Thrond had convinced me that I would be a good mother and I agreed to it. Motherhood truy terrified me, but now that Dahlia is here, I can't imagine life without her! Children are not a burden. They are an enhancement to life!

It seems the Lodge of Petrichor is in danger. It would seem that foul forces arise against it! The lodge is such a valuable asset to the entire city! It cannot fall. I just don't know what to do! I have sent warnings. I felt as if I was being more of a nuisance than anything. Perhaps I should make a pest of myself until something is being done.

Lady Khanne, Valery, and I replanted some of the suncatchers within the stone grove. At first, it seemed as if the earth itself had grown dormant and drained of nutrients. However, having already prepared for such things after the Bringers drained the soil of the forests, I had plenty of that fertilizer left! We tilled the ground and added a couple of the suncatchers. Lady Khanne even did a ritual to summon the spirits to guide us. They awoke and I heard their voices! They were quite delighted to have some of the Suncatchers within the Grove! They gave us help and nourished the precious plants. In return, they gave us a warning and asked for our aid...

After months of preparation and planning, I finally got the chance to head back home to gather some suncatchers! I was rather excited to go. My village welcomed all of us with wide arms, curiously asking about events happening outside the village. We were fed and given warm beds to rest in while we remained. Though, it was rather sad. I found that the suncatchers that once grew plentiful around the village are now whithering and dying. It took us four days before we found a thriving batch! I do not know what had happened to the flowers, but I have to admit that I am exceedingly disheartened to find out this beautiful plant is dying off. It was a nerve-wracking trip back home as once the plants were taken from their precious grove, they did not fare well. However, once home, we discovered this plant is something rather special. It does not grow in regular soil like most plants. It needs something special. We found that with great care, the plant would thrive within the Lodge of Petrichor.

Relationship Note on Katarina
I only have respect for this woman. She is so strong and a natural leader. She inspires! There is a part of me that wishes I could be like her. I know I can't, we are completely different women with completly different motivations. Maybe I can learn from her. If not, maybe we can share some stories and drinks!

Darkwater. This is exactly what it sounds like, but even worse. I visited the Darkwater and I will never return to that place again. The spirits on the winds even told me to never return. I concur. When our boat crossed the threshold of the Darkwater, I was lowered down in a net to gather a sample. I could see why a master apothecary was needed to collect the sample. Anyone without any alchemical knowledge would have been gripped by the vile substance and sucked down to drown under the waves. This was a truly humble and terrifying moment in my life. Though, I was successful in collecting this sample! I was cheered by the sailors!
The victory was short lived. As we finished the collection of the sample, we suddenly realized that we were lost within the Darkwater. I hated it there. I could not hear the whispers of the spirits there. All I could hear was the slurping of the dark ichor against the boat. Princess Katarina got us out of there, but we first had to endure horrors. It whispered horrible things in our minds. We saw terrible visions. I saw into the maw of a giant kraken. The things I saw.. they haunt my dreams. I must find my peace once more. Some of the images are still burning in my mind.

I really do loathe boats. I really do. There is just something about being able to plant my feet upon the ground and feel the earth between my toes. Despite loathing boats, the ocean itself actually does hold a beauty of it's own. It has spirits of it's own! There are spirits of the wind, of the waves, and of mysterious, terrifying, and beautiful things deep beneath the waves. I know these spirits are there. I heard them whispering on the winds. I must admit that I have a brand new respect for the ocean. Especially after the recent events that transpired out by Maelstrom.

Relationship Note on Thrond
Thrond came from a neighboring village from back home. His father would bring things to trade which wound up being mutually beneficial to both of our villages. His brother was always trying to tease me, stealing my flowers and forcing me to chase him around the village! I never got to really know him, but it sure is a treat to see a familiar face from back home.

I was allowed to go on an expedition with some people. We headed north aboard the Unsullied. We braved treacherous waters and the bitter winter cold of the far north! I could swear my toes were about to fall off! There was so much that happened and so much that was learned that I can't even remember it all. There were abyssal wolves, bad abandoned, good abandoned, spirit animals, giant centipedes, rituals, and a REALLY cool wolf-bird named Simurgh!

Prince Kieran has become a fast friend of mine. He has been kind and encouraging to me. I can also appreciate that he will be honest with me when the time is right. I have been experimenting with various substances to put into perfumes that are actually quite caustic. I was recently able to use one of these concoctions against an abyssal wolf that tried to eat me! This particular concoction I have dubbed fire and spice. I distilled the hottest peppers I could get a hold of in Arx. These peppers were distilled to such a concentrated liquid that they make a very effective defensive liquid when splashed in the face! Have you ever eaten a pepper and then accidentally touched your eye? Imagine this in a concentrated form. I used it against this vile abyssa wolf and it yowled in pain, backing away from me until it actually fell over a cliff! I have to say this is a successful use of the potion.

I had the most interesting adventure! I went to the north with some of my fellow clansmen. We went out there to investigate some dark something or another out there. First, we found beauty. There is so much beauty out in the lands to the North. I just couldn't help myself to stand in awe of it. I know I had to annoy a few of my traveling companions when i kept stopping to gather various useful herbs and flora that I found along the way. I simply can't help myself with that.
After admiring the beauty, we came across a small village of Shavs. It actually saddened me when we approached them and they gathered their children to hide from us. It is sad the horrors the Shav people may have had to endure to be so fearful of us. Thankfully, I speak their dialect as did Lady Khanne. We got information from the leader of the village and he sent us in the right direction. I still feel bad that we are so feared that they hide their children from us.
We found a trail that divided into three trails. We decided to head into the hills and what happened was a pack of ravenous wolves tainted with abyssal magic came at us! It was an epic fight! Man swords were raised and many wolves were slain. I felt bad for Freja. The magic in the air did something to her and she simply collapsed. Fergus had to whisk her out of the fight. I even managed to help! I didn't slay wolves perse, but I did disable some enough to make it a LOT easier for the fighters to dispatch of them. Anyways, I hope that with the abyssal wolves gone, the people of those lands can live in peace.

So, I know of this really neat plant that grows where I was born and raised. That plant only grows there and is exceedingly rare anywhere else. I believe this plant needs to be brought to Arx. It needs to be cultivated and all the apothecaries need to be made aware of it's amazing healing properties! In fact, I want to start a huge garden that grows mostly plants of medicinal use for the city. I hope to get other apothecaries and the Mercies all involved in this. I think this will go a long way in helping the city as a whole. Now, if only I can think of a snazzy name...

Hmph! Quantity should NEVER replace quality! I go to various apothecaries and find them utterly sold out. The cheap perfumes are very very affordable, I get that. However, wouldn't anyone out there like a quality high grade perfume over just the cheap every day stuff? There are so many parties and events of high class, yet people wear -cheap- perfumes. I need to figure out a way to make my high quality perfumes more of a trend.
