Regarding animals, I heard that someone managed to train a chicken to deliver a letter. That's amazing if it's true! It's the smartest chicken in all of the lands, I'd wager.

Relationship Note on Kastelon

I think that's a fantastic idea. However, I don't think Princess Alis is of the same mind, so perhaps it's best if we shelve it for now. The children can pet our cows anyway. If they can catch them.

Relationship Note on Kastelon

It's true that Bessie is a very fine cow indeed. Let's nip any disputes in the bud, then, and let's agree that we have both have exceptionally wonderful bovine friends.

(I'm also happy to confirm that you're not the cattle-keeping outlier of the family, cousin!)

I've missed my Doris. She truly is the best of cows. Thank you, Aunty Margerie, for letting me keep her.

I think I'll climb a tree today. I haven't done that in a while.

Maybe an elevated view will elevate my mood.

I'm sure there was something I should remember.
Was it a person? People? Or a place?
Did I forget?

Poor Scholar, having to waste ink and time to scribe these thoughts.
And Mother? If you're reading this, don't be concerned. It's not like it was back then.

I find, after a recent journey, that I am so struck by wonderment that even trying to recall it leaves me feeling mentally overwhelmed. Perhaps this will fade in a few days. All I can say for certain is that it was everything I expected.

To all those who tended to my brother Rane during his recent accident, I offer the greatest of thanks. I believe that your help and care will significantly aid his recovery.

It's not a point of pride that it took a riot to open my eyes (no doubt in some short-sighted way, nonetheless) to the situation of those who live and work in the Lower Boroughs. I'm sure I'm not alone in this instance, but that doesn't make my ignorance any more palatable to think about. I'll continue donating silver to the Faith and other organisations, but I'll also offer my time and effort in a more practical and active way. I've been looking into ways to achieve this goal, but I'm sure there are more avenues than those I have already considered.
