Things are settling into that now familiar routine that I had the last time I was here in the city, despite the bone-chilling cold that I am still trying to adjust to. Which makes it a little poignant for me that I will be unable to join Count Artorius when he returns later this month to the Cyrto Archipelago where snow was never seen. But I shall wave his ship off from the docks with a smile pinned on my face, knowing that the very next time it heads to the southern seas, I too, shall be stood on its deck.

So much sadness there has been in the Magnotta Manor over the past months; first with the passing of Countess Aahana, then with the unexpected death of the Count. Perhaps there /is/ such a thing as dying of a broken heart, and I can only hope that their souls find each other again with the next turn of the wheel.
It was a welcome thing in the midst of all that sorrow to see the familiar face of Lord Artorius returned to the city to retake the title of Count. We have much to catch up on, much to do.

Today I had meeting with my patron, Legendary Showman, Venturo Thayne. What transpired was unexpected, though really it should not have been. I am to assist with the seeking out of performance artistes for the next carnival!
Where in Arx does a person go to find acrobats, eaters of fire, contortionists and those with such skills as would bring joy to the carnival crowds? I should draught some posters and have them nailed to posts all over the city.

When I returned to Arx after much time spent in the Cyrto Archipelago, I had little thought to seeking a new patron for myself. Today that changed. I believe if something feels right in your heart that you should follow your instincts, thus am I now the protege of The Merchant Prince of Revelry. He has an open mind and listens when I speak, supports without judgement, and I am grateful fortune crossed our paths.

While perusing through the whites, I think I understand now a little more. I was always told that I would have difficulty as a prodigal in Arx, but the various attitudes on nobility and being a commoner are refreshing.

My first night here in Arx was definitely interesting. I could not sleep in the least which of course made this morning difficult, but I will eventually see if I can get some rest this upcoming evening or if I will still have difficulty sleeping.
