I always am struck with wonder at the idea that there is an ocean full of terrible and wonderful things, but there's never anything terrible and wonderful in a fish dinner.
Mostly it is just fish. Perhaps sailors dine on the finer and rarer things at sea! It would be their right, after all.
Perhaps the mysteries of the ocean are best left mysteries.

Do all extraordinarily tall men have deep voices? It must be so, for if they had a gentle or soft voice, they would seem misshapen. Perhaps it is a mercy that in stories, we all have the voice that sounds best in the mind.

There seems to be a surpassing number of threats to the realm that strike from the shadows. This isn't like how it is in the stories at all!
Heroes don't fight an ocean of faceless threats with quills and rolls of scrip - they challenge them to combat! Well, perhaps Mistress Theophania would challenge someone to a quill fight. That would be quite the sight!

Having missed the Unicorn Ball, I have to wonder...
Why was it a masked ball? Horses don't wear masks. Why are any balls masked balls? Is it because some people are ashamed of their face? Interesting faces are so much better than boring ones! Perfect rosy cheeks, beautiful full lips, blah blah blah.
A good scar adds character! There are so many gorgeous people in the city of Arx I can barely remember them all.

I was so sad when the Unicorn Ball was moved. I had hoped to wear the most adorable horned horse ornament! In my mind, I found the painter of that wonderful painting, and we spoke until the late night about dreams and things of little import.

Is there a proper cloak for all weather occasions? I have heard much said about the seasonality of clothes since I have come to the city of Arx, but never truly understood as such. There is certainly a seasonality to the linings under armor, but a cloak is a cloak!
