Relationship Note on Reigna
I have avoided writing in my journals since I was told. I know that you would call me foolish if you heard such a thing, give a fine lesson on why it was my duty, and so on. I can close my eyes and almost hear your voice.
Today I shared the story of how we named our Aeryn and found afterward I was daydreaming of more pleasant times. I remembered your anniversary gift to me, the copy of your black journal entries. Except when I went to read them I could not find them. The panic, Reigna. The panic. It was as though my chest was crushed and I could not breathe.
I tore apart our chambers looking and thankfully found them hidden in the drawer of my wardrobe, right beneath that tunic you gave me for the White Ball. For a half breath it was as if I lost you again. It was only after my heart stopped being audible in my ears that I realized it was time to write again.

The dog show from House Laurent was, I would say, a great success. Lord Eddard Clement did a fine job of hosting, and I was honored to have selected to be one of the judges. Congratulations to the winners, Stormy handled by Princess Reese Grayson, Elegance handled by Princess Alarissa Thrax in second, and the grand winner, Bayberry, handled by Baron Norwood Clement. I would be remiss to add that there seemed to be a particular crowd favorite of Barf, handled by Lady Amari Keaton.
Those dogs, there's a group of them still out there being tended to. I think I need to do some more looking into them...

Relationship Note on Natalia
I was tapped by Vern to come and visit the Archive and look at a few entries that he had pulled for my benefit. You see, my protege, Natalia Whisper, was involved. These last few weeks have been exceptionally busy and I have not had the opportunity to do my duty and write in the journals as I should. Plus, if I am being forthright, often times it is difficult to put quill to parchment and express my thoughts and feelings sufficiently. Nonetheless, in this instance, I will attempt to do so.
I have no comment on Lady Crovane's entry at this time. I will have it pulled to review at a later time in my leisure.
I have no particular comment to make in my whites concerning the nobles that have engaged with my protege. It is their right to pen whatever it is that they wish, to read whatever entries they wish, and so on.
What I must comment on, however, is the 'disgraced former nobility.' Or, specifically, denobled Natalia. Yes, this point is true. It was also forthrightly admitted to me, by Natalia, in what I believe was a warning for concern of my own social standing.
However, this is the woman of the past and who she is now is Natalia Whisper. It is a dishonor to the esteemed Whisper House to paint her as an object for scorn when she is a member of their fine organization. She is a chairman within the institution of the Academy of War. She already has aided House Keaton, and the Compact, in becoming stronger. If I am not mistaken, she has been within Arx approximately six months. Look at what she has accomplished in this time. I certainly would not dismiss her.
I, for one, am honored to find our arms clasped.

So many new beginnings during this time period. So many, in fact, that it has been difficult for me to catch up on my writing.

Through the tremendous efforts of my family, my vassals, and my allies, the Ilarin have been integrated as vassals to House Keaton and the people have flourished. Though this exceptional amount of work Rendall's Bank is showing promise and already becoming self-sustaining, and Everglen has started its path toward healing. House Keaton could not be what it is today without each and every one of you. Thank you so very much.

Really, House Keaton does not have any special wait list for acquiring a 'monstrously' sized hound. The largest that we have are of the Aegis line of our Oakhaven bloodhounds. Not even a little extra silver will get you on the secret list, for this secret list does not exist.

Though I have been in Arx for close to two years now, I had never taken the time to visit Whisper House. There was an endeavor of mine that I sought assistance with and though I initially was uncertain, I found myself pleasantly surprised with the result of the conversation. If you ever have a project that you wish advice on, or perhaps aid, please do yourself a favor and visit Whisper House. Or at least call upon Natalia Whisper.

I had the honor to attend the bonfire put on by House Valardin. To all of those that earned a metal, especially those of the Order of the White Dragon, you have my utmost respect. I was humbled at the valor and dedication shown by those around me. Every one of you should be proud.

I know that this has been mentioned in the whites before, but Dame Ida Ferron consistently provides excellent weaponry. I am always amazed when I see one of her pieces. If you are looking for someone for a commission, please seek her out. It truly is my goal that everyone in the family has a weapon designed by her hand.

I never thought I would be so happy to see Arx.
I know that I am lucky -- nothing more and nothing less -- to see these walls, to be able to see my home once more. I mourn those that are unable to do so. There are no words to describe the loss felt after returning to the field of battle and looking across at the fallen.
There are countless names that deserve mention. Too many to list. I offer my thanks to those that commanded, those that planned, those that brought forth information, those that fought, those that tended to the injured, those that prayed, those that offered forth loved ones to the battle, and anyone at all that took a role against the Gyre.
I must pen to the following by name, however:
To Lady Ianna Greenmarch: Your hand placed on my arm is appreciated, unforgotten, as we both looked on in silence to the sea at the start of the battle. I thank you for this silent moment of companionship, but I must also thank you for the great role that you provided as a rallying point of the healers. For being in charge of those that tended our wounded. I heard a few soldiers on the way home remark about your skills and I am certain that as time progresses I will hear more and more of your deeds.
To Sir Norwood Clement and Sir Thorley Sandreef: It was an honor to fight alongside you, Sword of Artshall and Sword of Westrock Reach. Yes, I recognize that one of you would choose my right side, and the other my left, to make certain that I was covered. I do not know what I have done to deserve such an honor, but you have my most humble gratitude.
To Lord Jaerith Keaton: I have spent a great length of time attempting to figure you out over these months, though blood and cousin I might be. You and I are nothing at all alike, and yet I saw your face after the battle. I saw that same haunted look that I wear. I saw the way that the death and carnage affected you, how the loss impacted you, and I know the burden that you carry. I saw the way that you immediately started to plan. I am glad that we are kin.
To Lady Tessa Moore: Thank you for trying to protect me with your arrows. Thank you for managing to get me to smile at the end. You managed it when numerous failed, even days later.
To Lady Veronica Keaton: It is not easy to leave the Sword of Oakhaven back during the war, but I have already heard rumblings of the bandits that you have kept away from our supply lines. I do not know all that was done, but I know that -- like everything -- you put your heart into it. I know that while we were away, you and your brother kept peace in our lands. It is a relief to know that areas left weak and vulnerable always have a defender.
To my heart, my love, my life: With every breath I took, I missed you more. I love you, Reigna.
