They told me there is one path, and four paths. That I am charged, that I must act, and that I must walk my path.

But I have sometimes wondered if I was on the right path, even if I never let it bring me to inaction.

Learning that I will know the path when I see it, is comforting. It means I am on the right track right now.

What will be at the end of the path? Whatever it is, I will walk towards it with confidence and hope.

I can not fully express my admiration for Princess Sabella and her organisational skills, her social skills, and the ability to keep track of a social event like she is literally hovering overhead like a buzzard.

I am also thoroughly touched by all generous donations and by generous bids, that saw a large chunk of money brought in to the restoration of the Cathedral.

Amidst all the war planning, life goes on. The boys are getting so big, I am looking for a pony for Raavas - he already rides decently, and he loves animals as much as us and would look after his pony very well. Tahvo can wait a few years, or take over that pony after Raavas cause he will outgrow it. The twins have so long arms, and there's four of them instead of just two, we put everything in the center of the table or most of it would be on the floor. They are adorable.

I have enjoyed exploring the city itself more lately, and delved into some research into old buildings. I came upon some curious information about the Unkindness that is puzzling. If anyone reads this and know more about one Rinca Harren, don't be shy to reach out. There is a story there and I am curious to hear it.

There is usually satisfaction in giving closure to families that have suffered the loss of a close one.

And then there are those times when even when knowing what happened, there is no satisfaction or relief in having learned the truth.

Elora is back again, and we had a little welcoming feast with the children, dogs, cake, general chaos but joy. We took a walk around Grayson ward and talked about the things happening, some plans for the future - mostly enjoying some alone time on a crisp autumn evening.

During her time away, we have progressed on the art gallery and it is ready to be opened - the opening is in a week, I've done several new paintings for it. My artwork has gotten more detailed and life-like through the years, but I feel I can still learn much more.

Recent events have meant new allies and new friends. It is all together satisfactory to work towards a common goal, combining different talents in the most efficient of manner.

It's not so bad sharing a drink and a laugh, either.

I expected there to be unrest, but not on this scale. It is a sluggish thing to grind, the mills of paperwork and understanding of how one thing such as the whirlpool does not only suck water in - it ripples outwards like a slow wave until it covers the whole city.

Increased Guard patrols will not be enough to stop the wave. Everyone must now step up to slow it down. Stop the wave where it begins, by doing right by the city's people that do not deserve this, this shortage of goods that is by no fault of theirs and will not only effect them if we do nothing.

Pointing fingers will solve nothing.

If we want Civilization to thrive in Gild's name, we build so that all benefit, and we have charity in our hearts and protect that which she stands for. Let us turn to the Kind Godess and remember her tenets.

The last few weeks have been more than normally eventful, but is the culmination of a long goal in a manner. What the end result will be, I can not say yet, there are still many questions and uncertain outcomes, but the path is now more outlined.

I have been more social this last few days than for near a year prior, apart from time spent with the other Guards, which is not quite the same.

Had a most illuminating and interesting conversation with Archscholar Sina the other day, which gave me new insights and ideas for future studies - I owe her many thanks. I hope we can meet and talk many more times, it was a quiet joy and a satisfaction. I've reached one milestone, but there are many more along the road till the end goal, and part of it is to search for lore and information. But, perhaps it is soon time to travel the actual roads, as well. Roads tie civilization together, without them concepts and ideas spread much more slow, without them sharing of knowledge and needed goods would be so much harder. Protecting the roads is so important, there is an order of Knights dedicated to it, and there has been for millenia.

I have finally started on writing a treatise on a subject I have spent the last two years of study on. Not two executive years, but when time has permitted. Let it also be noted I have many to thank for their aid in combing through old musty books and scrolls, or sharing knowledge they already had. Though I am sure there is much more to learn, I have a conprehensive enough picture of it to put things together in a coherent manner. I will build on it as more knowledge comes my way.

I have come far in my research and some mysteries have been brought to light. But the more I find, the more questions I get - I suppose that is how it should be.

I spent time in the Shrine of Gild, meditating and praying, and some insights came through this as well.

I finished the items for Princess Alarissa's upcoming auction. I have been learning a new art the last few months and the culmination are these stained glass windows. Packing them to move them over to her was quite the undertaking, but they stayed whole, much to my relief.

Elora has come back home, after some weeks in Hawkhold. Though the house is never empty, with two boys, three dogs and now also a calf (thank you Lord Michael Bisland for the fluffy little bull named Buckley, he is sometimes walking right into our cottage), it is never quite the same without her. Or her bird, or her dog.

We might want to look into a larger cottage soon, or expand the one we have. It's getting crowded.

Long preparations, hard work, our souls put into it. The work started before I joined the Spirit Walkers, and I am proud to have been part of finishing it with all those dedicated people. The Stone Grove is once more green and fertile.

If you all are interested in helping thralls, donate to houses that are freeing them. Take them into your own houses, give them jobs, build more houses near your castles and estates out throughout Arvum, teach them. Having seen thralls come across the sea to the main land, without owning anything, just to get away form persecution from traditionalists that now hate them for being free?

There is so much people can do. If you are writing about it here, then I fully expect to see some donations or projects as well.

The first time I saw the old memorial to Goldenpyre at the Merchant's gate is a day I shall remember forever. It opened my eyes to the wonders of the world, and to the history of Arvum. I always stopped there when walking past, studying it, wondering about what happened. I later did learn what happened there. The story of Goldenpyre and Aurumadin has inspired many paintings after this; they now hang, hopefully, in halls of estates across the city.

So I wish to give thanks to Dustin Nidhogg, Master of Questions Prince Laric Grayson, Princess Sorrel Thrax, Guildmaster Josephine Arcuri and Captain Ajax for their restoration of this memorial.

As Arx endures, we will never forget.

Inspiration can come suddenly. A most pleasant morning with my patron Lord Mirk Halfshav led to a brisk walk in the crisp autumn weather and a moment of shared awe watching something so old it boggles the mind. A hero's memorial, nearly forgotten by now, but there if you look for it. Myself? I stumbled upon it in an amusing manner a couple of years ago; my dog stopped and peed and that's when I saw it. It was in that moment, that I felt like Arx was a home, that there was more to the world and this city. It made me look further and discover history.

When I came home from the stacks later in the day, I painted furiously and the finished result is one I am pleased with. One can't paint too many dragons, right?

We came upon a burned down village on our arduous trek from the northern Gray Forest down to Arx, when we left our homeland as it was ruined by Tolamar Brand's army and very few of us survived. We came upon more than one, but this one will forever in my heart for a special reason.

Amongst the dead was a young dog, a well bred big animal. He was wounded, but not mortally so. He had been wounded trying to protect his human family and left for dead. Though I was wounded and exhausted myself, I refused to leave the dog behind and I pulled him on a makeshift sleigh after myself and nursed him back to health on the journey. We bonded. We understood each other. I named him Onida. Onida loved my baby boy - my boy rode on the same sleigh. We became family, the three of us.

In Arx, it was us three for a long time. It took time for us to become a part of Arx and to make friends. Amongst the Iron Guard, we found more brothers and sisters, but that too took a long time. Onida was a big part of making things easier for me. People like dogs, and Onida is an amazing dog. Fierce but protective at the same time, and sometimes just this funny amusing puppy.

Tero and Outi, the other Iron Guard dogs in my care, they started out as street dogs. I don't know what breeds are in them, they are a little bit of everything. Onida has been their friend and leader from the start - he doesn't care what they are, or what their background is. They are dogs and they are part of his pack. He does not care if they do not have a 'fine' breed.

Relationship Note on Felix

I spend most of my money on the house and the family, but the last year I've slowly saved up, and I was given some allowance from the Iron Guard for a better weapon. Nothing wrong with my rubicund spear or the steel claymore - they are excellent weapons. But they are getting well used and worn, and I needed a new one. So, it was diamondplate this time.

Felix Meadson has crafted a piece of deadly art for me - a glaive named The Howl. Thank you for your time and hard work - I am forever grateful.

I haven't painted much the past few months - partly for lack of inspiration, but also because I've just been too busy with the world. But today I finished something special for a friend, and I'm quite pleased with the results. Hopefully my friend will be as well.

Now I'm looking into sculpturing. I've dabbled a little and I seem to be doing alright, but I need to alter my thinking. A statue has to be standing on its own. The background is wherever you put it.
