I've spent a few weeks now, prowling around the city after dark looking for things to do. And in my boredom I've come up with an idea. Something I can do to get all the night-owls of Arx to come out and play on the regular. There'll be fighting, drinking, carousing, betting. Loads of fun for all.

Had a productive day. Nico and I ran across Harlex and Violet, of the Crimson Blades. An offer of employment was made that we're sure to follow up on, and after that we did a bit of training before dropping in on the event over at The Golden Hart. We encountered Ronja there, and had a bit of fun in the dueling ring with her despite the fact that she looked a little worn out already. Nico and Ronja thought they could beat me fighting together two versus one, and I wagered that if I won I'd get a favor from each of them.
I won (of course), and had them kiss each other. Not Nico's first kiss of the evening, but a better prize could not have been asked for.

Nico and I are now in the employ of the Lady Iseulet. She's over the moon about it, and so am I. I'll have to be careful not to muck it up.

Relationship Note on Nico
Nico and I came upon an unexpected windfall last night, and a debate ensued about how it should be spent.
I thought her arms could use an upgrade, but little did I know, my comrade has mercantile ambitions. And here I thought I was training a future Champion of Champions. Ah well. Perhaps she can be both.

Last night I took Nico down to the training hall to get her technique looking presentable for the Champions. She did well, learned a thing or two about evasion. And as usual she did it in the cutest way possible.

Get into the city, know there's shit going on outside the walls, but you can't walk half a block without hearing about some story out of children's books coming to bite us in the ass. Some demon-cursed shavs in numbers, elves galavanting around the city and a tension in the air just ready to burst. Might be able to make some good coin in the coming months.

You'd think after all these years, I'd learn that fighting brings out a person's true self. Just some sparring and drinking done with this guy, but he's another guildy and fights for the right reasons. Namely fighting and fucking. Think we're going to be fast friends, we are.

Relationship Note on Zhayla
She's a bit too much for the honor of it all, but she fights like a demon and drinks like a knight on duty. Still, she's got the skills and if you've seen that smile when she's got that sword of hers in hand, well, you just know you gotta recruit her. Haven't been back long, but probably earned a bonus on my next Champion sponsored duel after getting her into our guild. It's not all about the coin. It's about the fighting too.
