Apology accepted. Following the lead of those who have reached out to me, I too, shall do my best to make amends. Through the Whisper House I will make sure to have a donation paid to the Faith and the charity of Princess-Consort Alarissa's choosing if she wishes to contact me and let me know.

We are grateful for the Archlector Brigida's wisdom and will endeavor to be as faithful as she in the future.

We are overjoyed by the amount of support we have gotten from our Peers. Now the Faith has decided to dispatch additional resources and Templars to the Southeastern Saffron as well. Such news brings hope to those who have suffered during the recent war. Unfortunately any and all plots of land we have were already surveyed and spoken for since we have had and continue to have a massive influx of new allies who wish to join the Leporidae, and by extension the Compact. After speaking with my ministers though we managed to find just the place where these new Templars and resources would be most welcome. Blackrock.

On the furthest reaches of our domains, bordering that with our Vaevici neighbors, there is the most quaint isle in our possession that used to be an old outpost. We ceased trying to man it though because of all the difficulties we encountered trying to live there. Anytime we manned the tiny keep, it was soon overwhelmed by the violent Shav'arvani but we have managed to since negotiate a very firm understanding and we are positive the aging walls of the keep will hold. Though it could not possibly support a garrison of more than a paltry few dozen but this should more than suffice to support these new Templars and any other members of the Faith who will be arriving to support them in this.

There are still other considerations to worry about such as the lack of a very large populace, when last surveyed there were maybe a few dozen people who traditionally called this place home and they were mostly slaughtered wholesale by the Blackreave. Still there are some who have chosen to return to that place. Of course the new ailments and illnesses can be quite nasty but we will pray that Lagoma shields them from the worst of it. The wildlife is quite vicious as well, we have lost many patrols to the massive black jungle cats, water dragons, carnivorous fish and venomous snakes but our friendly guides on the island will be sure to lend their help to these new arrivals so they can avoid falling prey to the same mistakes we once did.

We, the people of Tremorus, look forward to guiding in our new friends not just because we are excited to welcome the best the Faith has to offer to our lands but without someone very familiar with the waters their ships would end up crushed against the rocks or gutted in the jagged rocks of the shoals and we want them to encounter as little difficulty as possible acclimating to the Southeastern Saffron. Praise be to the Carnifex in all his wisdom and generosity for thinking of us in such trying times. With the coming Crusade on Skal'daja we wonder how they cannot possibly be stretched so thin doing us such a kindness. Instead of doubting, we shall praise the Gods and their earthly representatives.

We will prepare a welcome feast at once.

When you do not seek or need approval you are at your most powerful. Every day I continue to walk the path that many others have walked before me. Some are further along than I and have reached back to offer me succor, to let me know that the way forward is difficult but the destination is worth it. There are those who walk behind me and for them I grant the same courtesy and kindness because those of us who walk this path, we are brethren forged by the circumstances of discrimination, disrespect and disapproval for simply being.

Sometimes I stray from the path to a nearby hill in order to scream from the top of my lungs, you do not validate my existence for I have always been. While those words may seem to fall on deaf ears, my brethren who walk the path have seen me leave the safety of the well beaten path to forge my own way even if just for a little and it heartens them to know that some of us just will not suffer in silence.

My concern is for my people, and we are spread over thousands of domains. We have persisted for over a thousand years, determined to maintain stability in our lands and provide what prosperity we can. For those of us who bear the burden of rulership, not leadership but true rulership, it is our duty to bear the burdens for our people and so we do. Gladly.

Yes I am a Prodigal and that much has been made clear every day to me since I made the decision for my people to join the Compact. To bend the knee to what we believe are higher ideals that we should all strive for and I do not regret it. Though I do, from time to time, find the need to clarify something woefully important and overlooked by our non-Prodigal Peers of the Realm. Many of us Prodigal rulers were not ennobled. We have ruled our respective lands for centuries, millenia in some cases like our own. We were Lords and Ladies before we ever bent the knee, and we have remained Lords and Ladies since. The Compact has not granted us anything that we did not have before but they have taken a modicum of the respect we have been granted by looking down on us as "neo-nobles" who have not been born to the title.

One of the Peers of this Realm who has been sympathetic to our plight, a beloved ally, asked a simple question that should be given thought. 'Do you know what we have given up to join you and live at your side?' Members of the Compact who often use these facts to chastise those of us who are 'misbehaving' or failing to assimilate fast enough for their comfort often remind us that we have sworn our oaths before Limerance, we are said to be granted the same rights as other citizens of the Compact, and yet they recognize we are treated unequally.

The Compact would do well to remember that honoring Limerance includes honoring the oaths of others. To remember the sacrifices we make to be here with you, to stand as your allies in battle even as you spit in our faces for those sacrifices. Even though many of our Peers and fellow citizens of the Realm do not want us to be here, we are here and we are staying until the day you choose to Abandon us again because despite the adversity we Prodigals are too strong, we do not break our oaths once they are given and we stand by what we say.

Relationship Note on Orland

Oh my words. Savio is not known for his pragmatism, like his elder brother Giorgio, but he has -always- been very good at reading people. When I first heard that one of the Amadeo were joining the Grand Tribunal myrmidons on the scouting mission I was more than a bit apprehensive for fear that, well, if something were to happen to them I would be responsible. That they had already set sail and it was out of my hands didn't make me feel any less anxious about the whole thing and when he returned, a bit worse for wear I sighed deeply and held my head in my hands as I prepared myself mentally for the reaming that his Lord father would surely give me.

Thankfully that was not the case! Not only was Lord Orland such a good sport about it all, he served our House well in his capacity as scout adjunct and he was very generous about the whole affair when he could've griped or moaned about it and made me feel just awful about it. Since then he has been a regular around the manor and always so pleasant and charming. Having him around is a genuine joy and it makes me even happier knowing that him and Savio have an affinity for one another.

Tonight I met the Count Amadeo and was doubly delighted by the gentleman he was. Seeing the depths of his devotion and love for his boy was...touching. I respect that a great deal in someone who is responsible for the lives of others, parent or not. Lord Orland has become a fixture in our lives and I do so look forward to what misadventure he will get up to with my family.

Despite being in the Compact for almost six months now, I still find myself completely baffled or awed by some of the things I've witnessed. First and foremost, the architecture here is pretty stunning. Much different than back home, buildings are smaller than I am used to and yet they still manage to display a great deal of spirit and pride. Proclamations are also a wonderful aspect of society used in helping spread the news of happenings both good and bad. Catching wind of opinions belonging to the movers and shakers also helps inform you about a person and their disposition.

The Peerage helped lead the way by showing me, and the Arakkoan nobility, what is considered normal here and I have to say it was my first instinct but the Dominus seemed very upset or perhaps disappointed(?) about the whole affair. Which brought me no small amount of confusion. That he would, socially, stick his neck out for something so small and potentially get it lopped off by what supporters he does have in the midst of a schism in the Faith does not seem particularly wise. Surely there is an entire layer of interaction here I am missing because I can only see this as alienating the very people you want to remain by your side.

This reminds me of the incident a few weeks ago with the Thraxian Princess Sorrel and her misstep -- that they both pertain to Faith and seemingly cast aspersion on the leadership of the Church is not good. Anti-Dominus Waldo surely appreciates the work they are doing on his behalf.

One would hope to find some measure of harmony within the very institution the Arvani people look to for religious guidance and moral righteousness but that is seeming less and less likely. The amount of discord among the Compact is daunting to those who have recently joined their fates to the six kingdom's alliance but alas, we are in a time of turmoil. We can only hope the Crown is better able to maintain cohesion and unity within the Compact than some of the royals and the country's spiritual leaders, at least from what I have seen.

Relationship Note on Savio

Remind me to have you take notes for every meeting in the future Savio. This was everything and you have a gift for...well you know what you have a gift for. We love you for it. While I will refrain from adding additional commentary on the subject I was quite confused about the level of piety expected as members of the Peerage. Granted this is no doubt due to the fact that I am 'a faithless Prodigal upstart' but it was very relieving to hear the people of the Compact share their own opinions on that particular subject.

Marquis Dio had an endless amount of patience and didn't respond to the provocations from the Thraxian attendants. Princess Lucrezia speaks in the way of Tremorus, direct and without apology for shooting straight. My impression from that meeting was utterly depressing. There is animosity towards our new Lieges, perhaps towards the entire fealty -- of this I cannot be too sure yet because I honestly don't understand some of the undertones in the first place. Overtures were made to people being criminals and tasteless, which was ironic considering the circumstances. With all this being said I sincerely hope people can set aside their differences for the common wellbeing of Arvum.

Our enemy is united as one in their hatred against us and I can imagine that even though the various noble houses of Skal'daja have their gripes and peeves with one another they're leaving it for after the coming war or, more optimistically, they are settling those scores before the conflict begins so their cohesion will not suffer for it. I have to say as the newest House to join the Compact from what I have seen this is...not good.

As family begins to arrive from Tremorus I find my spirits lifted. There's always great joy to be found in being reunited with those you love. House Pravus has been very generous with us and none more than the Princess Viviana who has my eternal gratitude. Never have I considered myself to be very outgoing but the people in the capital make it easy. I've gotten to meet some very choice Whispers, some kindly members of the Peerage, and a few Liege-lords who have been very welcoming. There is a lot to look forward to when it comes to building new relationships with an entirely new people and the sheer majesty of this city can sometimes overwhelm but I am determined to do my absolute best for the people of Tremorus and the Compact alike.

We have recently had a small measure of difficulty with a few of the Abandoned in our region (who did not take our joining the six kingdoms of Arvum very well) but we are hopeful for a bloodless resolution with the Conclave of Syskepsia. Whether or not this will become reality depends on the voices of our most gifted speaker on the island, Precious Maharet. The Seraceni have been very respectful of the situation and volunteered one of their own, the Lady Ophira, who will stand in solidarity alongside the Voice of Tremorus, the People's Beloved, to deliver our own terms. From what I have gathered some of our own in the fealty of Pravus will also be attending for cultural observation. All things considered, I would have to agree with Precious Maharet that we should have some way to de-stress and wind down.
