The fight at the cathedral at Bastion was especially harrowing. I'm grateful to have made it out alive. Thoughts of my family spurned me onward. Without the bravery of Dame Reese, Lady Orelia, Princess Sorrel, Baroness Lucita, and the others in the chaos... as well as Lady Mabelle patching my wounds up as soon as we got away...
Ah, suffice to say that our escape from that danger was a group effort, and I am ever grateful.

I am far from an expert on beekeeping, compared to those at House Laurent, but, I believe the solider bees are the bees that sting. A type of working honeybee.
You may find it particularly interesting that, at least according to what I have learned, the stinging bees are always the female of the species.

The works of the Champions have been quite busy lately, leaving me less time for rest and socializing.
I feel lately as if my days are rushing by. It does feel like something is on the horizon, not for me so much as for the city itself. Tensions are high, leaving we duelists with much to do. But whatever may happen next, I obviously cannot see the shape of it from where I stand in the field.

Needless to say, I was inspired by you as well. I have heard you went down fighting as a Wyrmguard should. Would that it did not have to happen at all. You were loved by many and will be missed by us all within these halls.

A duel well-fought by the Lady Brianna. At the end it was a close bout and I was starting to tire when I got the one blow in that made it decisive. I am grateful for the opportunity to do my duty before Gloria, and for the thrill of the challenge.
Unfortunately I may not be well enough to participate in the Gauntlet as a result of my own wounds. I suppose I'll see how it knits and refrain from anything too dangerous in the mean time.

As soon as the thaw begins we will ride out for Highhill to begin the process of rebuilding there. It has been a long road already, and the worst I think, is done. But now begins the diligent work, the most important work: the work to make it once again a home for people. It will take time, teamwork, and more than a few strong backs to create a place worth living in.
It seems likely that soon I will have to assume the duties of a military command, in order to make sure that our homelands are defended against dangers from all sides. I hope that I can rise to the challenges of these new responsibilities. I have at least had enough time to consider, and I suppose I am finally getting used to the idea.
