Impromptu melee at the Southport Square Training Centre was illuminating and also bore some insight into the abilities of several peers of Compact.
The following team melee was won handily by myself, Ian and Ainsley against Orland, Savio, Raimon and Samira.
The primary deciding factor was the choosing of Ian for my team. Fighting alongside him is always vastly preferable to fighting alongside him.

The Bay of Pieros. Another naval engagement to add to those I have been engaged in. Possibly the most brutal I have seen but definitely the strangest too in regards happenings.
The Malvici, Magnotta and Saik ships and sailors performed their duties exceptionally and I feel honoured to have been in command of them, especially as how they kept formation and coherency through what became and increasingly turbulent and confusing engagement.
I only wish that so many did not have to die for this victory.

I am feeling hopeful.
Kia has returned to Arx to assist me with the organising of trade and maximising profits from Caer Morien's exports.
Valenzo as well has accepted an offer regarding a position in service to Magnotta as well.
And finally my cousin Desma, the first Malvici to follow me to Magnotta has come to the City again. I hope that I can find something suitable for her.

So my sister has now become Lady Thea Wyvernheart. Malvici will miss her, that is clear.
Her and Drake's wedding celebration was enjoyable, even though I kept to myself for most of it.
I did however win the knife throwing contest which is something I suppose.
It's now time to head back to the Cyrto Arch however to say the final farewells to Aahana.

So I managed to oversee a small, but successful siege of a bandit fort with a combined force of Saik, Crimson Blades and Magnotta troops.
Despite some brief disagreements between the various troops, they set to the task of a basic siege quite well. The fact that the besieged were not expecting us and had no well inside the fort meant that it only took a couple of days before we opened negotiations.
In the end there was infighting in the fort, an attempt by some to escape was halted by Lords Haakon and Ian and Lady Neilda while I led the surprise storming of the gate.
Not a single Compact soldier was killed, nor were any even injured and there was minimum casualties amongst the bandits before they surrendered. If only every engagement could be as this.

I attended the event that my brother Martino and his wife Kaia held regarding dancing instruction.
To clairify I took my daughter Palania to it as she wanted to show off her new dress and dance, which she did enthusiastically with her cousin Iris.
It was good to see the future Countess Magnotta enjoying herself however when she doesn't have any real cares in the world. Would ut be possible to keep her safe from it all forever but I know it is not possible.

The Ball of Hawks at Malvici Hall was a fine affair, hosted well by my sister in law Lady Kaia. She has proven her value to Malvici time and again. My brother truly has married well indeed.
Also having tasted the Southport Citrus vodka alongside the Spiced Red, I can definitely say I vastly prefer the red wine over the vodka

Relationship Note on Grimgar
Prince Grimgar is a lucky man indeed to be courting Princess Lustry Thrax. He's suitably impressive too and reminds me of a bear somewhat. Regardless I got to know the man better at first the rum contest hosted by the Princess before having the chance to cross blades with him in a spar. He is not unskilled at all but could do with improving his footwork.

I would like to thank all of those who have assisted myself and House Magnotta in the recent expansion of it's influence across Cyrto Major and now significantly controls the island, including former enemies in the form the Pol of the Great Bay.
Now will be the time for solidifying the gains made, and expanding the docks on both the north (Fort Magnotta) and the south (Cyrto Keys). Both will be vital for further excursions, trade and military security.

The Manor is feeling a little fuller now with four members of the Magnotta Family now under the roof of it.
Perhaps a family dinner would be a good thing again. I'll look into the logistics of one again.

I hosted my first ever official dinner as Count of Magnotta recently. The house servants did an excellent task of preparing the main hall for the guests and the cook Casio Rybac provide a fare that was relatively simple but very filling. Managing to procure the former Southport army cook for the House proved worthwhile.
The conversations varied from serious to very lighthearted and I believe that the guests enjoyed themselves, with representives from Malvici, Saik, Blackshore and Grimhall present.
I will attempt another sometime soon, this time with a co-hostm

Relationship Note on Odin
I met Lord Odin Eswynd in the training centre and had a small spar with him. He is not bad at all but clearly could do with some more practice and combat drills.
His equipment did put him at further disavantage as well but in warfare you are seldom matched with an equal opponent.
Regardless, I believe he has the potential to be very good indeed.

Bull riding is not easy. I still managed to do a decent showing though. Thirteen seconds ai managed. Perhaps that is an auspicious number. Who knows.
