I have named the Isles Canines' dromond, the Black Dog. She will be fitted as was the Red Serpent to be a ship of Redrain wood, Lyceum sails, and a crew of Graysons, Thrax, Valardin, Redrain, and Lyceum. A crew of freemen and ex-thralls. I thought I would have no other love than the Red Serpent and whatever wife duty found for me but now, with the Black Dog, I wonder if three wives is not too much.

I listened to those that knew about the world and I followed their advice. Their advice was to be silent and to listen to the world. So I did. I listened to the world and first I heard spirits, who reminded me of the oneness of it all and then I heard the Queen of Ending calling my name but it was not my name. Still, the end came and from the belly of the beast that had eaten me, I heard thanks from Petrichor. He called out my name and thanked me for my sacrifice but that was not my name. Still, I felt the peace, I felt the pain, and I felt the clarity as if it was my name. From now on I eat what I grow, what I fish, what I raise in the barns, and what I hunt. And every time I do, I remember my name.

Isles Canines counts on a wardroom of influential members of the compact. They see the vision of this company. It currently also counts with Prince Aiden, its first officer. Whom's skill has turned my beasts into apex predators. Without him, this would not have been possible. With things coming to a lull, I intend to expand our business and provide a wage to my officers, and a return of investment for my wardroom. With that wage, I would like to recruit a quartermaster and a captain for our vessels. The quartermaster to help us expand in the market and the captain to command our ships.

Not that, that will be for long - Petrichor's blessing on my family will ensure that when my highlord is ready, a child will be provided to the Isles but in the meantime I strive to serve my highlord and the voice of Thrax to the best of my capability and to be our warlord's best commander.

I have always held a strange relationship with Petrichor. Nothing you do not expect from a man that has spent a longer time at sea than at land. What really speaks to me is Petrichor's patronage of dominion, the home. Can a ship be a home for Petrichor? I hope so.

It is easy to be complacent in this city. Everything you could want is just down the street. So when your house calls you to duty and puts that fire on your ass to get to work it really gets all the all the gears moving. It is a good thing to be in the thick of it, watching movements and drills take place in preperations. Nothing has changed from my time.

Apparently, I need to talk about a couple things that I understood were common sense. If you threaten a Thrax prince with prison for wanting to ask a question regarding matters that involved us all, matters in which we need all the help we can get, expect to be called out if you do not follow through. That is what happened at the Assembly. Now, I get that there are procedures and better ways of saying things during assemblies but do not tell me, especially if you are from Thrax, that you would not have expected someone who threatens a Thrax prince with prison for something so miniscule as wanting to ask a question, to do it and when they don't, they be called out for it. Why? Because respect toward your house is respect towards you. The same applies for disrespect. The great houses are the accumulations of all your hard work as vassals. Do the same thing with a prince and princess of the Velenosa, the Redrain, the Valardin and you will get the same reaction. Or else why do you fly the banners of the great houses? If not to stand up for what they mean, their bloodline are your blood and your children's blood.
P.S I do not make veiled threats so whomever started that narrative, fuck you.
P.S.S Duchess Sylvie, I imagine you are a nice lady and did not mean me calling you out that day to be taken as a threat to your life. People now days are very sensitive when we should be focusing on important shit like our enemies surrounding us.

The Thrax fleet encompasses the mightiest of fleets in the realm. It is composed of hardy vassals who every day make a name for themselves in fighting our enemies. To perpetuate the idea that our High Lord does some how have a problem commanding this fleet as one unanimous force is an insult to the sacrifices made by our lords and princes. The vassal of Thrax do not quiver in fear, they accept their High Lord, and proudly raise their flags alongside ours. Answering the call for battle. They die Thrax, they breath Thrax, they are Thrax. We are united and if you are loyal to your own high lord, you will stop projecting that fear to us and our vassals out of respect for yourself, our enemy is coming.

The guildmaster met with me after meeting her outside the assembly to treat her dog which was sick. Arx is a very difficult place, the Gray Forest makes it so ticks and fleas live unhindered. Then you bring a dog who is not comfortable with the region and you have allot of health issues. I have been exporting dogs from the isles and have been having to deal with allot of this. An apocathery taught me a tea to feed the hounds that has seem to be working but I am thinking of bringing a generation or two to the Thrax ward and raise a couple of the next generations here. They have been very succesful in tracking the bringers which has provided allot of interest to see them in action by the other wards. Duchess Calista even inquired about having a couple dogs in her villa, I have to find a breed that can serve two purposes, one of security and aesthetics so that they they are more attractive to the noble looking to protect their home. Captains do not really care if their dogs are ugly as long as they can defend their ship. My family and vassals like Darkwater and Grimhall have all been very supporting, I hope they are content with the dogs.

I met with Khanne and Rowan to speak about the Spirit Walkers. Lord Rowan belongs to Greenmarch, a house I was not too familiar with until after that day. Lady Khanne is a daughter of Halfshav. Halfshav shamans have this very interesting philosophy of which I learned about long ago in my life, unaware that it originated from the Lady's house. The Halfshav believe that there are many truths, each belonging to an individual. That means they are open to external ideas and if they agree with them they adopt them without abandonding their own tradition. It is a very comfortable way of thinking, an ancient way that feels progressive and ahead of its time.

Victus thinks all he needs to do to become highlord of Thrax is win a fight. He is wrong because he has to prove himself to Magnata with a little fun tradition that also celebrates the man. First he will need to come with me and hunt a leviathan, second he will need to wrestle Magnata's judge while wearing a dress, third he will need to eat a bowl of old sardines and not throw up. Then in the eyes of all sailors, Victus would be our high lord.
