The Prince is a wise man, and I do not mind saying that he is quite charming for his later age. There is a sharpness of wit that has not been dulled by the years. I've no doubt that he has much to impart upon the right individual; I ought to inquire after his stance on Patronage.

It is difficult not to warm to the Laurent family. The Lady Mabelle is a force, and her name is known from here to Artshall for her charitable works, and keen dedication to the arts and fashion. The Duke a clever man who still manages to find small amusements despite grand responsibilities. There is an undeniable pride about their name, and particularly surrounding their lands in Artshall.
There are murmurs that it is becoming somewhat of a metropolitan landmark. The Lady Sabitha Bisland, also with familial ties to House Laurent and Artshall, has extended an invitation to join her the next time she visits. I look forward to seeing it all for myself. However, until I am able to be there in person, I've sent ten thousand silver to be used for the newly established orphanage, and teaching hospital to assist in the efforts.
One can only hope it makes a difference.

I was treated to wonderful hospitality by Lord Haakon and Lady Medeia Eswyn. Their hall is a wonderful place to gather and visit. I look forward to spending more time enjoying being their guest.

My twin and I are back in the same city. I do not know if Arx (and Klaus) are prepared for the combination. I have missed her spirit and view of the world. She know many interesting and wonderful people. I look forward to spending more time getting to know them.

One of my first social outings in the city has proven to be a success. I met a general, an admiral, and a physician. Lady Reese, Lady Mabelle, and Lord Domonico respectively. A mix of people that as certain as the night was cold, helped to make me feel warm and welcome. I was surprised at their lightheartedness. I would expect such important professions to have a difficult time relaxing. Happily, I was proven wrong. And even better, I didn't feel at all out of place.
I feel like my time in the city will end up even more fruitful than I could have imagined. I'm excited to see what else I can uncover, and my next free day I expect I'll venture somewhere new.
-Well, what am I saying? Everywhere is new to me right now.
Perhaps I'll pick a door and simply walk through it. If its anything at all like tonight, it will go exceptionally swimmingly.

The Eidolon Gallery opening tonight, though I couldn't stay as long as I wanted, was lovely and the art fascinating, though I can't say I liked it all. But then, no one enjoys all art. If they did, it would be quite pointless.
Also, I have been noticing quite a variety of tamed animal companions here in the city, not the least Caith's dog. I can't say that a dog appeals to me, but an animal in general? Perhaps a cat. That would suit me...

City life here in Arx is quite a lot different from what I'm used to. Not more complicated, but different. Of course, I didn't anticipate a protracted stay. But a protracted stay I may have. I'll spend a little time expanding my cultural knowledge and seeing what serves for parties in this noble city of ours. And, of course, catching up with my family. Arx seems to have attracted them all here, one by one by one.
