It is an easy, if correct, truth to say that power unchecked will do as it desires. We can hope that it is wielded with honor and perhaps equal parts empathy, but when a power's interests do not align with those in a weaker position, there will be no surprise outcome.
To the world, we are but a small kingdom, any strength we have disregarded, our gods dismissed, our recent history writ bright with foreign meddling.
However.
We have our king returned to us. Our vows to bind us. Our faith to guide us.
Our destiny is before us and we strive toward it with great purpose.
And we will remember.
