Peace. It seems so simple and yet it continues to elude us. There are always those who seek ways to disrupt what is. Some fights are new and others centuries in the making. It's frustrating but all I keep coming back to is this is the world being like this is not something we can leave to our children. Or at least not one I'm willing to I suppose. But it's worrisome just how...timely our enemy manages to be.

Nothing quite like doing a little spring cleaning. More importantly looks like Triton's in town... it's nice to have more of the family back and particularly reliable ones. It's strange how just as simple as knowing he's in town eases my worries. Some bonds I suppose there is nothing like them...

Is wanting to be a guide a bit too arrogan. I mean they're not wrong but my arrogance is hardly new or surprising. Still it does raise a question why do I want what I want is it just an excuse to pry into people's lives? I like to think it's because I think I can help more people by sharing and teaching than by doing but... I wonder if it's cowardice on my part. Fear of drawing unwanted attention or jealousy? That's too much introspection I suppose time for a drink.

It's been a good week, key areas have come into clearer focus. Thanks in no small part to Lord Mirk. But as always it only brings up more questions. There are few things clear except that our enemies continue to move against us. The recent trips of people to Brightshore and Whitepeak make it clear that we are the precipice of a new era of discovery, but at the same time more we learn about the Saffron island the more we realize how little we know. The question at the end remains, is it worth it? We need the knowledge but can we suffer the cost...

Another story. Unsurprisingly, it's a sad one, the way history repeats itself. It makes you realize the cruelty that it is to forget. Whether by choice, or by theft. When you forget something you betray and abandon your friends. You lose your sense of self. And without a sense of self... what kind of future can you have? This war that continues... it stretches beyond. How can you ever win if you continually forget that you were fighting? Are we doomed only to repeat our past?

More attacks in the city makes me worry that we've burned more time than we can aford. I hope Shard is safe, and I wonder what the scent of cupcakes means. In the interim, it seems time to take stock of what all is afoot. The warnings continue to come in and I seem no closer to any fruitful answers. I hope others are having better luck.

A slower week than some but still there's much information to parse through. I don't know where these tangling leads will lead me. It was delightful to learn more about Uanna but I find more and more my thoughts brought around to the story of flame. Like many stories i've looked into the story begins beyond mortal reckoning an unbroken tale that hints at secrets that may be critical for us to survive what comes next. I wonder though... am I failing to find the point by looking more to the story than to what the story might instruct us to do?

Uanna, a culture still so foreign for ours to understand. It was still pleasant to travel with some people out of the city. I don't know how much progress we'll make but it's fascinating to learn parts. I wonder if these things will all come together. So much of the past becomes relevant again. It does make you wonder just how active the Dreamer takes in these stories.

An eventful time. The north... is a dangerous place. But it would be a worse place without allies. I'm glad Cillian and Rosalind have made it through alright. They both gave me a scare. But we for the most part survived. For as many as we took north we lost only a few but... still that is a sadness. Still we went out and we returned with more information. Rowenova did her best but it's a reminder of just how dangerous expeditions can be. I certainly will wear the scars for it for a time but surviving is it's own thing. Now just to put together what we've learned. With Clara's elevation it seems all the more time to sort out what information needs to be spread wider around the fealty.

Another productive week. Finally was able to learn more about a story I've circled for awhile. Delilah remains incredibly helpful in pursuing knowledge. I don't know what I would do without my friends. I don't know what we'll learn in the north but all I can do is hope that we'll learn enough to make a real plan. As for the rest... the world continues to devolve trouble in every sector. I hope only I can do enough to help in a few places I suppose and try to protect my family and people.

More troubles drifting from every corners. Beasts to the north, a whirlpool, and rumblings of islands. I should pay attention to the today, but the past still has so much fascination. A cataclysm of fire that sundered and entire continent. Rebellions in fire in ancient lands. Such fascinating events to try and turn up information to.

Another informative week. I discussed my recent... antics with the Master of Questions and other than the expected reminder of the stupidity it wasn't so bad. That is a relief. But more pieces of information hinting at what we face. Some pieces of the puzzle into place but it only points out how many more are missing. Still it's good to have confirmed knowledge about what brought Wolf's chosen from Nefer'khat to here. Though I think there's more to be yet understood. Strange how these stories always intertwine.

Well... that was interesting. A meeting with Emissary Zulana. I can't say I'm sure how to gauge if that was good or bad. But it was certainly fascinating. Though and a good reminder that just anyone can read what's written here. Pity I didn't get more of a story, but sometimes the stories people won't tell are pretty telling. Things that frighten even such people are perhaps not the best things to look depeer into.

Ah what a wonderful week, Sorrel's performance was quite the remarkable event. I think Sorrel's Song of Freedom will be anote. Even if it's a past story it was still an event. I suspected the results, despite the audience, would be more far reaching than could be gauged then. But.... I didn't inspect Arianna's death. The Freed shavs from the Writs.... this should be interesting. I worry though how many people were freed that we have no way to gauge. But... to the event itself. Green fire, a creeping chill, and a mystical chorus. It seems terrible that she used dead bodies for the chorus... but I suppose it's rather better than it could have been. Everyone seemed very upset at my commentary almost like they weren't expecting the audience. But I was glad to speak to Sorrel after that SHE at least knew what she was doing and expected them.

Lady Mikani brings up an excellent point. One cannot remark highly enough about Princess Valencia. This is an excellent team to join!

An odd time of joy and sadness. On one hand finally I am married. Which is it's own oddity to say. But Arcadia's falling reminds me just how fleeting life can be. I will miss her wit and her charm. I'll just miss her. I hope... I don't even know what to hope after such a loss.

The trouble with research is that often it's months of dancing around a subject until you realize that you've been looking along a parallel path. Sometimes you perhaps just need to charge directly at the subject even if you know you won't have the right context. The First Flame it seems shows up in my research more often than I've got explanation for. I wonder where it will lead.

Well one doesn't always get asked to 'stay for a moment' from the Master of Questions. Never a comfortable conversation but I suppose it could have been far worse. I suppose I see his point though it really does seem unavoidable. Certainly food for future thought on how to ask questions in the house of questions without getting caught in leaving out part of the story. Still there are far worse ways to answer a few questions there.

It's good to see Aella making her mark on things. People seem very excited to have a new shipyard. I worry about having the people to man the boats but then it's a thing she would knoww far better than I. Hopefully it does all she wishes it to. Either way it's good to see things progressing.

Well it should make for an interesting summer. For once I'll have to try and do the things these people write stories about. Thankfully I have good friends. But it's going to be a difficult challenge I think to piece together bits and parts. But if it will help keep Eilonwy safe I can't begrudge any effort in it. That becomes the most important thing. Especially if she wants a wedding with people... We'll have to keep it small but it should make for an enjoyable event at the least.
