When one names their cat "Lady Fluffybottom" or their dog "Baron Barkers", no one actually believes these animals are being elevated to the peerage. No one is proclaiming to the entire Compact that they have ennobled their rabbits.

I shared a few drinks with Duchess Isabeau Telmar, Prince Raimon Thrax, and Lady Poppy Stahlben at the Ambassador Salon this evening. We decided that I am, apparently, not very menacing at all. But the petite Duchess might very well be. Prince Thrax is quite the poet and while he gave me a lovely new nickname, I'm not sure it will stick.
