The Lyceum united, one hundred cities, could nothing be more beautiful? It is a vision of trust and camaraderie that only the strongest of us could hope to foster among the treachery of our past. When I was a boy my mother passed on a love for the Lyceum that I am only now growing more appreciative of in adulthood. To pass on my good fortune and help eschew the past, I will be looking to draw closer to the Gods and my fellow Lycene.

I need to get right with the Gods. I need to change my diet - my sister tells me rum and sugar is not a diet. I need to reach out to my friends. I need to connect with my House. I need to make right on my promises and settle old debts. Everyday I get better and it is a long journey but I think it is never too late to change. In a year there will be a new Apollis.

Relationship Note on Fatima
I hosted a small dinner to introduce Princess Fatima to my sisters. I am honored that she attended and agreed to come to the Order of the White Lily induction ceremony with me. She seemed only mildly disappointed that I was not in fact my sister Astraea.

To summarize the week, Rue is a darling, sweet baby angel but she stole my candy. A diet of rum and candy will make me ill so maybe she was trying to save me. Amarantha is always looking out for me. Aunt Eirene has offered to increase my insult vocabulary. Someone is paying people to challenge me to do various things. And I need a few days of bed rest.

We fought for the Lyceum, the Lyceum that you love so much. You always talk about it. We nearly died for it. Surely that's enough for you.

So seldom am I left speechless but the power of your words rends my soul in two. The scholar has allowed me time to collect my thoughts. Your poem has drawn from me the very idea of 'good poem'.
