Relationship Note on Yuri

I’ve never been one to care too much about what others think of my person. Growing up in Setarco, Ischia, and even belonging to the family that I do, gossiped intrigues are a lifeblood - many a hilarious disaster has been fueled, enjoyed even.
But, I find that I care, far more than I should, about what Lord Yuri Tessere thinks of me. It leaves me restless and wakeful, not even the ocean seems to console me for when I look out all I can think about are his damnable eyes. If he’d just dim the hue of those blues then I might be able to get a restful night’s sleep.

You are a shining star blazing bright amid shadow. You bring effortless smiles to my face each time I'm in your presence, and that is a rare and treasured gift, indeed. If I thought it possible, I might have thought you were my brother, Caius, back from the dead. You're just so like him, or what I can remember of him.
I am proud of you; the La Rosa's grand opening was successful not just because of the hard work you put into taking a concept and making it a reality, though that deserves a great deal of recognition on its own. I believe the true source of your success comes from a deeper place: from the genuine attentiveness you show to friends and strangers alike, from that innate desire you possess to ensure everyone you meet can't help but feel special.
If it is within my power to support your growth and advancement, I will see it done.

I have never been to Fortezza di Iriscal, but if the food in La Rosa d'Ebano is any indication, I should make a culinary visit there as soon as possible.
Good company and delicious food is all one needs to escape the concerns engulfing us lately.
Lord Tessere has outdone himself in bringing a sample of the Fortezza to the city.

Relationship Note on Yuri
Lord Yuri Tessere arrived in the city about a week before the attack that claimed my uncle's life. I had met him on his very first day in the city - well, his first as an adult - while meeting with Marquis Gaspar in the Tessere gardens. I had no idea that the man I saw dueling an imaginary foe would become a dear friend, though that process started off slow. Partly because I was sunk into a pit of grief so soon after meeting him. He was very understanding and has always been since. He is quick to offer the highest of praise, to join in a dance, to accept a challenge, and share in his company. I have yelled at him and been forgiven, I have tended his injuries, he has dipped me to the floor while dancing and not dropped me, we have lamented the lack of sauces in certain cuisines, and shared many bottles of wine. It seems only appropriate that I could be there for him in his grief. It breaks my heart to see someone I care for hurt so deeply. He does not deserve to have the color and flavor bled from the world.
