Relationship Note on Ryhalt

Husband,

I love you. We started as a political match but quickly fell in love. We built a domain, a house, a home. I want you to rebuild it. I want you to live on. I want you to succeed and thrive.

Know I loved with all of my heart, and I’ll be waiting for you in the next life.

You really ought to make me give you promises in writing.
With my private seal on them.

Relationship Note on Ryhalt

I did it! I finally did it. I managed to hit my husband with a pillow. He thought he could tease me about something and so I whacked him with a pillow from across our room.

I know.. your probably thinking why would she be bragging about hitting her husband. Well first he definitely deserved it and two; I actually hit something from a decent amount away.. well someone in this case when I actually did mean to! And not just because I'm clumsy.

He should be thankful it wasn't one of Ryland's blocks or an arrow.

So I'm documenting it scholar. That I actually do have good aim and mean to hit something when I want. It just happened to be my husband.

Palamon didn't lose to a falcon. They lost to Splinter, an osprey.

Regardless I thought that Duke Ryhalt did exceedingly well at the small contest, especially given how awkward his owl was being!

Duke Ryhalt Farshaw, a work of art framed in a rustic personality, honest and curious. It was truly a pleasure to meet him in the Dire Bee and enjoy a cup of tea and conversation.

I noticed your journal post, my brother.

It seems I have reason to be relieved you are home and well. And that you may have some stories to tell.

We should have dinner soon.

Relationship Note on Ryhalt

Duke Farshaw's friendship has been nothing but a boon for me throughout the years.
The competitive nature of it has brought nothing but motivation and prosperity for both houses.
May it last for years to come.

Relationship Note on Ryhalt

Though I could not be present I am grateful to Duke Ryhalt and Lady Mabelle for hosting a poetry competition in Bold Espressions. Coffee is a most excellent subject for poetry, and I was delighted to hear that Nina, Scout Rowenova, and Lord Strozza performed their brilliant verse.

They tell me Duke Ryhalt performed my poem with great eloquence, far surpassing that of its author. Though I must now see if Rukhnis can treat deep wounds to my pride, I am very happy the duke found it worthy of recitation.

For those of us who chase the laurel crown of poetic fame, such events are a true joy of life. I only wish I could have been there in person. One day, perhaps, my verse will reach the ear and heart of His Majesty King Alaric IV, and my dream of becoming the Court Poet of Arvum will be a reality. Then truly would my promise to Gianna Whisper be fulfilled. Until then, my muse and I continue to draw our inspiration from Nature and all our fellow poets to please whatever audiences we may find.

Relationship Note on Ryhalt

I was not one of those who complained about winter but I've learned to appreciate it even more this week.

A magical open clearing in the middle of the forest, glittering with frosty bits of ice. A deer hunting for food, eating from my palm because what other choice does he have? And silence. Utter Silence. Magnificent.

Thank you, Duke Farshaw, for allowing me to tag along to your annual hike. I cannot wait for next year! I will certainly pack more carrots.

Relationship Note on Ryhalt

In your journal you write, "I won't even start on how damaging it is to trade to ban products on the assumption thrall labor is involved. If we don't know how the goods are produced, how can we know they are produced with thrall labor? That is where I will leave it and let the true scholars muse on the ramifications."

The bulk of recent commentary has been about slave labor in foreign kingdoms. It is a fact that slavery is practiced in Cardia. In this particular question, let scholars not waste time discussing hypotheticals when they may be able to discuss facts. Has anyone simply asked an emissary from one of the foreign kingdoms who are not interdicted by the faith if there are /any/ goods not made by slaves?

Relationship Note on Ryhalt

I find I look for my brother's journal entries these days. He seems to often have something funny to say. Ryhalt, brother mine, I dress perfectly fashionably. But definitely not like a sheep. Except maybe in winter, that might work then.
