Relationship Note on Lycoris
Arriving to the city in the bitter cold felt appropriate, given my thoughts and mood of late...but the warm welcome I received upon reaching the villa was both enormously gratifying and enlightening.
I had never met my late brother's wife before -- there had always seemed some excuse to stay away from Arx, until now -- but it is clear already the House is in tremendously capable hands, and I am honored beyond words that she has accepted my vow to serve as her Sword.
I hope to prove worthy of that trust.

My condolences, Marquessa Lycoris. Although the pain never quite fades, I am sure House Hawkmour will keep thriving, and continue to grow under your leadership, now needed more than ever. Remember you are not alone.

Since the day our father was murdered we have not seen each other, but it is a sorrow to hear murder has taken another loved one from her. I think that our family is not lucky. I hope she finds strength in the days to come and does not wither beneath this blow. I should send her some trinket or another from the horde for condolences.

Such happy news has made it's way to the palazzo. Tessere's liege-lord, Marquis Duncan Hawkmour, has found himself a match. I sincerely pray to all the Thirteen that the Marquessa Lycoris be welcomed within the city, where I hope she finds her way and flourishes amongst us.
