This resilient woman, having faced the daunting challenge of memory loss, has emerged as a beacon of creativity and joy. Undeterred by the shadows of the past, she has embraced art as a medium to bring happiness to her life and the lives of others.

Relationship Note on Llewella
I must admit that my introduction with the late Marquessa was not one of deep engagement. We met once and had a lovely evening of laughing and drinking which was sadly never repeated. However, when I was planning the construction for the Waystation and looking for artists, she was the first to offer her services.
There is always pleasant commentary about the art showcased there, from the glass beehive-shaped chandelier to the arrangements of local blocks displaying carved images of trade and cooperation, or civilization and knowledge being exchanged. Those images portray several written versions of the stories in all the related languages for those that stand the most chance of passing that way.
It is a magnificent display of art, tastefully and accurately placed. If you ever pass by the Domestique Bell, I urge you to stop and examine it, in honor of the Marquessa.

Relationship Note on Llewella
A month, or as near that as anyone might judge, after stepping on to the same path as that of my wife. A woman that has strength to match my own, though it is not that of sinew and bone like mine, but that of mind and spirit - a compliment to me.
Though it would seem daily that the task I've set my hand to, the role I have taken up, grows - it is surmountable, it can be brought to heel. We, my wife and I, shall make of Melaeris a home like none other for us and ours.

Our sigil is a flaming sword.
Our heirloom weapon is a sword named Beacon.
Our purpose is clear to each of us raised in Astarrea.
I support my cousin's proclamation and the initiative she is beginning. We must stand as a light that points to an ideal. A flaming sword is not a subtle symbol, nor is the goal of Melaeirs to end slavery and thralldom, a subtle goal. It is an institution that needs to be burned to cinders, its ashes scattered on the winds of history.

This charming lady of Melaeris is not only an unusually accomplished artist, but also flatteringly enthusiastic about having me tap my fund of old tales dug up from obscure corners of history. She even goes so far as to say that she wants me to sit for her.

I have taken on another protege. Lady Llewella Melaeris is a marvelous artist, and I am currently in the process of negotiating for her to make her debut art show at the Empyrean. I look forward to seeing how her art inspires the heart and imagination and that she has a smashing success!

I saw the mention of my name in your whites my lady. I thank you again for your kind words and am honoured that you reached out to me. I shall remember what we discussed regarding the changes that are sweeping our Isles and your kind offer to help in the stormy times that are to come.
