I swear that kitten has it out for me. One would think that fishing it out from water would earn me the slightest amount of favor, but i honestly think the kitten was more annoyed at me for touching him then thankful for saving him.

We fought together today. Good, it was a sparring match and we ..kind of won.. kind of lost it. But when I saw her go down the first time, time suddenly slowed down. I called out to her and when she did not react, I found an inner calm. Maybe it was fear that she got hurt, but it was the one time I was able connect a lunge with ample force.

Maybe fear that she got hurt, but suddenly time stood still and I could focus everything into one, single heavy lunge that connected.

What a delightful woman! Yes, she knows how to dress up most impressively, but once you look past that, there is a quick mind and a hunger for knowledge. A fire that constantly needs fuel and that I am happy to stoke.
