Relationship Note on Augustus
Scholars:
I have to say that when I go to visit Grayson Manor, whether it's for work or to visit a friend or to visit my beloved patron, it was quite clean and lovely. There were no rats on the prowl, and any cat was surely treated well, and didn't need to eat rats.
That rats now crawl across princes seems to be a big change from what I know to be House Grayson! Could this be the a sign of the crumbling of a once great house?
Or has Prince Augustus gone mad with age, and as Calaudrin has already written, can someone please go check on him?

Relationship Note on Augustus
Lady Dawn has spoken of him often during our meetings. But, during the latest gala hosted by House Grayson, I finally had a chance to meet the man. He didn't disappoint, Lady Dawn thought I'd like him and at first glance, I do. The fact that he knows the Lyceum is certainly a positive. We'll see how well we actually get along after we have a drink or two.

Relationship Note on Augustus
I find myself a bit troubled over Prince Augustus. He seems to absolutely detest me. He has refused to meet with me. He has had nothing good to say and the fact someone was rude to me, makes him happy. I have no clue in how I have vexed him in just arriving. I am curious is this is going to be how I am received by all the family.
Perhaps this trip to Arx truly was a punishment if this is how it is to be. The outsider in ones own family. I am a Grayson, so I shall continue to smile and pretend as if my feelings are not hurt, but sadly they are. I enjoy the city, but I find myself longing to be back home when around my own family.

My grandfather has come to the city, finally!
In many ways, I've felt so adrift the past few years and I hope that he is the rock I need in so many ways - at least until my mother decides to join us.
We have already had a couple of talks, and he has helped guide me through some touchy subjects. He may be all dour and gruff, but that's only because he's seen more and knows more than most.

I have known him all my life, and all my life he has been a pillar -- something solid and certain, even when the world around me was not. I remember him, from a child's eyes, as ... Historic. A man who had seen and been a part of so much history. I am no longer that little girl, but he is still that pillar, and although I wish he could have lived the rest of his days in peace in Lenosia, I am glad to have him here in Arx. No man is ever free from duty.

Another House Grayson Prince, the Duchess Nadia Nightgold's grandfather. Some realation or another to Lady Dawn. So hard to keep track of nobility. He's a crusty fellow. Not sure what I think of him yet but I'm pretty sure he looks down his nose at me.

My great-uncle Augustus has returned to us from Lenosia. Though he spent most of my life there, I remember him well from visits because one does not forget a man like Uncle Augustus. He is upright and exemplary, the living example of what Grayson can and should be, with nobility etched in every line.
I lament, sometimes, how deeply his words can cut but he uses them with the intention of improving, of guiding, of lifting a person into their fullest potential.
