My brother by marriage is a man I feel I still only know a very little, but one of the joys of my return to Arx is the opportunity to spend more time with this part of my family and his lovely children. He's proven his dedication to Greenmarch and seems a person of great wit and kindness who I am proud to call kin.

When Marquis Mydas, Prince Ettore, etc. vacated the Acheron residence, he left behind a little-known mirror-lined room located just off of his former quarters. With those private rooms transformed into the offices of the Marquessa, the 'Shrine of Mirrors' remains shamefully neglected. Personal beliefs and hesitations aside, it's a comfort that Lord Alessandro has so graciously shown an interest in remedying this for us.

My first official Mirrormask sermon was a fascinating experience, especially after spending so much time in the Shrine of the Thirteenth just recently. What better way than to be introduced to it by my patron? I have of course heard some of the ideas and concepts in more private conversations with him, but apparently if you give Lord Alessandro enough time to think about a subject he will leave a very lasting impression in his wake.

We have been through a great deal together, in our short time of knowing one another. It speaks to your integrity that I would willingly trust you with not only my own life, but the lives of any of my family members. Of course, that family now includes you, and there is nothing that brings me greater joy. You have worked tirelessly on helping the upcoming Gala be the best it could possibly be. I know I can count on you to be there, to do what you say you will, and to do it to the best of your considerable ability.
I always learn so much from you, whether it's facts of law, which you excel at reciting from memory, or whether it is simply how to be a better human being, I know I will come away enriched. You have a heart of gold and I am lucky to be allowed a small part of it.

Last night I attended the wedding reception of my dear brother Alessandro and the lovely Lady Margret at the Greenmarch Lodge. Of course the party, which I am told was planned entirely by Lady Margret, was amazing fun. I had not ever thought to ice skate at a wedding reception, but I have to admit the skating was fun, even if I was entirely terrible at it. It was my first time meeting many of the Greenmarches, and I must say they are delightful and welcoming people. If I had to lose my brother to any family, I feel lucky it was them. They were very kind to me and to Princess Gwenna, who did me the honor of accompanying me to the party. We both said that we should visit them on a quieter evening, perhaps to check out their famed hot springs. Also, the moment I stepped out into the street to depart, I realized I forgot to ask anyone about the legendary war elks! Yet another reason to visit again.

Well, my dearest brother has married and become a Greenmarch. I wish him and his wife Lady Margret all the happiness in the world, even though I will miss him deeply at family dinners. He is the most fun to exchange whispered comments with when discussion at the main table gets too boring.

Relationship Note on Alessandro
To continue our discussions that began as a part of my research, Prince Alessandro invited me to visit the Shrine of the Thirteenth with him today. I cannot say that it was an easy visit or a comforting one. It was quite unsettling, yet also entirely intriguing.
I can honestly say that I am grateful he has become my friend through this journey. I am glad that he will be joining our family and I look forward to many future discussions with him.
