As before any battle, I am filled with dread. The stories I hear from those returning from Grayhold made me do what I have no done in the longest of time. I spent time in the shrine of Gloria. I think the Oathlands are finally getting to me.

It seems as if the city this week insisted on bringing upon me a range of emotion. The primary is loss.
Loss of leaders, loss of friends, loss of talent. If you stop to think about it, there is also loss of direction, loss of sense of self.

With the opening of the Art District and other projects I was working on reaching completion, I find myself with idle hands. Not that duty leaves me unoccupied or all the troubles that require my attention. It is simply that I have no projects that draw creativity out of me, which has not been the case in the past six years.
Perhaps some time spent in the laboratory will ease my mind, perhaps.. something will find me.
Hopefully.

In my endless search of pieces of art for the district in Artshall, I've purchased a piece titled "Art Heals the Heart".
I found it captivating, as both an art lover and a physician, a servant of Jayus and a servant of Lagoma.
Recently I find myself returning to look at it, to find courage, inspiration. To heal my heart of grief.
Despite current events, I do believe that there is room to maintain normalcy and the belief that all will be well again, and so despite the threats and fear, The Bard's College will premier the play of The Thirteen Sorrows this weekend before traveling with it across the continent.
The play tells the intriguing tale of House Laurent's history, featuring Princess Gwenna Redrain, who was named after the character she will portray, Baroness Amari Redire, Nightingale Gianna Delvecchio, Auda Florin, Lady Zoey Kennex, Lords Orland and Savio Amadeo, Lord Mattheu Rivenshari, Lady Adalyn Clement and Myself.
All are welcome to attend and join the cast for the reception after the show to celebrate the one and only performance in Arx! The production will soon be on tour across Arvum until finding a new home in Artshall for the grand opening of the Arts District.

There is a tale of a Duke that went to visit a famous painter and asked him to paint him the perfect tree.
The painter told the Duke to return in 10 years. The Duke hiked his eyebrow but nodded and left.
Ten years later, the Duke returns to the painter and tells him, "I came for my painting of the perfect tree".
The painter than lifts the brush and paints the perfect tree in a matter of less than a chime.
The Duke gets outraged and asks, "Are you mocking me? You had me wait for 10 years for something you can do so quickly?"
The painter than takes the Duke to a back room storing hundreds of tree paintings, explaining, "It took me ten years to be able to do it that quickly".
