A man with a helmetful of kittens in a casino has got to be one of the most incongrous yet delightful sights i've seen since coming to arx. I wonder if thrax could give away its sudeen surplus of cats to lucky gamblers. yes, i know i'm being silly but one has to find something to be cheeful in these times doesn't one scholar?

Lottie's is becoming quite the social hub. Huge crowds both times i visited. It was fun catching up wih friends, meeting new people and trying dfferent sweets. I even ran in to sunaia whom i'd not seen in ages

I had a brif encounter with prince patrizio pravus who hads recently been named general of the first legion of setarco as well as baroness calla vaveci and sir alban farshaw. the prince said he was trying to find respite from thoughts of the coming war. i suspect he is not alone in this. i wish him congratulations on his appointment and every success in his duty.

As my mind reeled from the events of the past week, I search for something that comes clearly through the haze of shock and I realized this in ways I had not before. Words have immense power. This past week i had been careless with my words in a potentially dangerous way and was kindly reminded of such. As if to hammer the point home I watched others suffer consequences of their words that they almost cetainly did not intend. No longer do I live with confidence that because i do not weild a sword, I cannot injure others or because I am not a soldier facing battle, I will not face mortal danger. For each time, I have been gently cautioned about my speech I wonder at the number of times i have unknowingly wounded or endangered with them. I apologize to all those who received such words and pledge to take more care with my words from this day forward. May lies be vanqiished, may troth prevail

The new jade moon tea house is equisite. I loved the carvings of the fatastical creatures. I can see myself spending a lot of time there, paticulary as I didn't even get the chance to see the garden. While the others enjoyed wine, princess Damiana and I were given spice infused juice. it gave me quite the eneergy boost and could become a habit which i don't think will do anything to curb my study obsession

Lots of fun social activities this week. Breakfeast at Lottie's with thea and Martino Malvici, zoey Kennex and Aconite . Yum!
and then the Party and the Judgement green. Such silly games. I am even worse diecting a person horse than a real horse scholar. i felt so bad for letting down Lady Piccola, but if I'm being honest scholar, and i try to be seeing Master Apollo and Lord vitalis tie at musial loungers makes it alll worth it

I attended the grand opening of stormbird's roost. Arx's first Eurisi Restaaurant The owner healer Rukhnis has outdone herself. the establishment is absolutely stunning and there were many scrumptious items on the menu that i am anxious to return to try though i likely will not go for seconds on the grasshopper which i nearly successfuly tried the first time. i appreciated the chance for new experience

So it's finally happened. Drake, richard and I are finally officially Wyvernheart. Never have I been filled with such pride and hope. We owe a great deal of thanks to many. First to Dominique Marquessa and Marquis Calariian for entrusting us with this responsibility. To Legate Bianca and lady Tesh Telmar for their invaluable assistance. To members of the Blanchard household Verity Locke and our cousin Lord Jordan and finally to Count Philippe Blanchard. His guidance and support in these past months cannot be overstated. It may be some time yet before we can host a proper gathering of thanks but they have my heart from this moment. may wyrmguard, wyvernheart, and blanchard continue to grow and to prosper

I heard about the sucess of Prince Niklas latest play and it brings a smile to my face. Though I am a disciple of Vellichor and not Jayus, I have alays taken pleasure in the power of words and the arts to move the soul and admire those who use their pen while others ready their swors. My his words draw people together into the light lest the fall in the waiting arms of darkness
