To be fair, I think I relax easier with a friendly companion who is not my aide. I had no idea he could be so irksome. Still, he is very good at his job, so I shall keep him.
I think that he may not enjoy my sense of humor. Something about my pranks getting old.
Whatever.

Pookie,
Brigands! We were ambushed by these rather smelly brigands that were at least 10 feet tall and very smelly. They gave us the stink-eye whilst trying to relieve us of our coin! I put them down crying, "For my Pookie!"
They were much afeared as I used your name as a call to arms!
No hammocks, alas. We had a few but I ended up strangled in one when some snakes used them to sneak up on me.
It was very humbling.

Not yet. I am somewhere south of it and somewhat north of Granato. My aide decided to advise me on a true holiday of doing nothing. So we are enjoying the vast views of the Lyceum without the trouble of going into the cities...

Well, note to self: Do not try a practical joke on one's mistress when she's traveling...
The lack of things to do is making her somewhat grouchy.
I tried to cook breakfast for her the other day and she threw it at me. Something about the smell... I guess I used too many spices.
I tried to engage her in some stories... she threw a rock at me. Something about it being too dull and then she ranted about her lack of adventure...
I miss my Lady's sweet temper and good humor...
Maybe she woke up on the wrong side of the river...

The very sad and most shocking news has arrived to me in Gemecitta...
Lord Syd Volkov was murdered.
It breaks my heart that such a man met such a fate.
Such a funny, enjoyable fellow.
Tragic news to hear while on holiday...

He won't let me talk or think (how can he stop me?) about Arx.
Keeps telling me to relax.
I don't think he knows that I'm this >< close to stabbing him repeatedly to vent my frustrations with him.
Also, I think Jewel, my cat, peed on him.
Such a beautiful, good kitty. I fed her fresh fish for dinner.

My lady clearly does not know how to 'take a day off'. The whole point of leaving Arx is not to insist on thinking about Arx, bemoaning things she's left undone, and answering missives that I deem unimportant. That's my job. I can answer those.
She's been working so much for everyone and our House, especially, she has forgotten the need to look after herself.
That is also my job.
My work is never done.
Also, Jewel has peed on me. Damned cat.

... Nothing. On the advice of my beloved second-cousin Lady Thea Malvici.
I've never done nothing. I mean, if when I sit drinking coffee in the Bold, I am thinking of things that require my attention. My body idle, my mind is not.
I am planning to be idle. Body and Mind.
I hope to achieve this state of 'nothing' my cousin has advised me to try.
I'll let you know how it turns out, Cousin.
