I actually had the pleasure of enjoying the hospitality of Princess Keely Grayson for a lovely evening at the spa. We enjoyed the pool the sauna and played a wonderfully silly whispring game where we transformed sheep int cats i may not be as outgoing as some of the other ladies but I had a lovely time

I had the privlege of participating in a delightful Race Across Arx event organized by Minister Rook Champagne and Guildmistress Caprice Artiglo. The event offered a variety of challenges for mind and boy as my dear friend lord Mattheu Rivenshari ran, danced, stumbled across arx. I will not claim we proformed well. We struggled with some of the riddles but i couldn't have asked for a more fun evening

This week was also filled with joy and surprises. The evening began with a surprise birthday party for Duke laurent right in the middle of the sovreign bridge complete with dancing ang and bardic performances. Marquessa Tyche had an ingenious idea with people spontaneously wondering by to offer biirthday. I ended the evening as the auduence to a thrilling spat at ravnsholm at the invitation of countess aella. It was a thrilling match between Lord Mattheu Rivenshari and captain Caspian wild in which Captain wild scored an impressive victory which was a surprise.

I had an interesting conversation this week about the necessity of all that is within mortal experience. Life. Death. hope. despair yet it seems the darker emotions seem to come easily and people foster them in others without conscious thought these days. If balance is what was being touted than surely we must work to foster hope with conscious effort lest we become mired in our darker selves. recognizing these as natural is one thing. yeilding is quite another

There is nothing like overcoming a harrowing situation to make one appreciate life aknew. For this brief moment there is affirmation that those from different backgrounds can come together to accomplish a common goal. How ephemeral this moment may prove I know not. not for the first time I wish had more power to see into the fure or to impact it, to know that a moment of hope will not be squandered. yet i must be satisfied with the moment. All I can do now is offer prayers. prayers of thanks. prayers of life. prayers for the dead, prayers for hope

This week I was engaged in conversation with several others at the Great Archive and those of us who were scholars were asked how we keep track of information from various. I responded that each scholar likely has a unique method for doing so. While this likely accurate truth be told i sometimes get perplexed by my own notes when engaging in subsquent review. and that is my embarrassing admission for the week

As for what sort of thing is the correct purview of the whites that will always be a matter of debate, but I personally perfer philosophical debate than personal attacks of individuals against those they percieve as having wronged them, but that which one chooses to write or speak is a matter of choice, provided one assumes the consequences of that choice and I recognize that others words are a gift of choice regardless of how annoying I might find them. So with some mild apology for annoying others I will address the subject of unity others have recently broached . When it comes to unity and other words of a conceptual nature a single word is often insufficient to convey clear meaining and so i distinguish between Unity of thought (Unity of chains an d Unity of Purpose (Unity of Choice). Complete unity of thought does not and cannot exist were choice does as in truth this requires the sublimatmation of one's individual thoughts and will. It need only be acknologed for purpose of philosophical argument
Unity of purpose or unity of choice is neither complete nor perfect but is the result of individuals retaining their thoughts and desires to accomplish common goals and common values. These are the foundation of arvani society codified formally as oaths and informally as bonds of affection or collegiality. these i champion and seek that people consider creating bonds of choice with those we might not consider. i seek consder that what i wish is cooperation and respect to come together for the purpose. Unity of purpose pursued freely.
Thanks to the freedom of choice, you are free to take others thoughts, giving them hearing and reject them or change your thoughts or actions as a result. The discomfort of a moment's consideration of a different perspective will rarely if ever damage one irrovocably. Knowledge is a gift of vellichor, not a disease

I had the fortune of going sailing with Lord Mattheu Rivenshari. There is a certain joy I take in watching someone engage in a task in which they are well-skilled much the same as when I watch Drake on the champion's field. There's also a certain infectious sense of freedom in being on the water. a lovely time.

Would you believe I won not one but two contests at a wine games of all thing, a grape stomping contest and a wine bottling contest. i generally don't drink alcohol and nearly didn't but figuied i would stop bbecause Lady Medeia throws spectacular events, money was being given to charity, and family and friends would b in attendance. I suppose others were just as pleasant surprised by my unexpected performance as I because I won crowd favorite for which I was equally shocked and flattered. The experience has renewed my conviction to do things outside of my comfort zone and never miss an opportunity to spend time with family and friends. You never know what life has in store.

Yes, there were several meetings regarding my scholarly research but one of the most helpful moments was unplanned. I went to the hospital with the intent of offering aid to others and got some invaluable information from a patient. Reminding me that learning can happen anywhere and people from vastly different backgrounds can come together for common goals

She is a commonoer to whom I offered tutoring, She wanted to follow me to arx when I left but her parents wisely made her wait until she turned 18. She is a bright and precocious sort. I'm sure she will accomplish much.

Some social gatherings are lavishly planned affairs while others are simply chance meetings. The latter are no less precioud. I met Lord Tatus Vaveci, messereo theophania desmaris, lady temira eswynd and my dear friend mattheu rivenshari in the market for some pleasant conversation. turns out Temira wants a mastiff pup. I have a beautiful little boy waiting for her.
