Just tell those 'witty' people they are annoying or threaten to smash them with your hammer.. or stab them if you have a stabbing weapon. Although, threatening to smash my spouse's head in with my hammer has not proven to be working since he still does the touching thing. But you're a High Lord, it'll probably be more effective than my bitching at my spouse who knows me too well.

Just so you know, using your distinguished gentleman manservant to give me things is -cheating-. I'm convinced the man hasn't the faintest idea how dashing he is, and I know he only flirts because it makes me blush, but he's such a weakness! How can that charisma exist in one person is just... impossible. And -wrong-. And distracting!

I wouldn't be too hard on the man, Archduchess. After all, maybe he was hearing someone of a mind with me, and you know firsthand how if I get the slightest bit bored of a conversational topic, no matter how terribly serious the matter is, I am entirely willing and fantastically capable of slowly turning the entire conversation into the setup for several lewd jokes. I'm a terrible example of nobility, really. All joke and no seriousness ever.

It's not a secret that the Archduchess Eleyna asks me about every month or so to let her be my patron. I've explained to her over and over that the Guildmaster of the Crafters Guild cannot have patrons, as it suggests favoritism to a specific House. While the rest of the Guild can have patrons with whomever they want, or not, I have no such ability.
That being said, it doesn't stop her from asking, and every month I receive some precious gift from her with a beautifully written request in her own hand.
This month, the thoughtful, gracious woman sent me a beautiful jar of skin salve, made with her own hands. She said she read my journal complaining about the effect the weather has been having on my skin, and concocted this wonderful stuff to help.
I still tell her no, but I'm very polite about it. Her response is always very beautifully written, and ends it with something like 'until next month'. Entreating her in person does nothing; she simply smiles like she knows something I don't and pats me on the hand.
Complex and wonderful as the moon, is the Archduchess of Velenosa.

I'm another that firmly believes Velenosa is in good hands with Archduchess Eleyna. I pity the woes she will have to endure, all the increased work and paperwork. All while trying to keep a firm handle on what Prince Talen will get himself into. Quite the workload.

It has truly been an honor and a pleasure to serve Velenosa as a Voice during a more fragile time. Your decision to simplify things and keep the Lyceum organized and streamline is something I personally agree with. Kudos to you for bringing back stability.
