I saw a performance by Nightengale Gianna at the Black fox this week, a single song of melancholy and mystery leaving much contemplation. it was a story told in the voice of one who had died who wished to be remembered in song. I was a bit disappointed that the nightengale declined to reveal who the subject of the song was, but that is an artist perogative. Mysteries are wonderful things. The song was beauitiful and the performance a joy to witness.

I saw some amazing displays of skill and sportsmanship at the falconry tournament and hunt. Lady elora's hound got a bear which Lord Triton and my brother richard helped carry back. Absolutely astounding

I am truly glad to have attended the reflection on self offered by archlector giada. it was nice to have time set aside to think of such questions versus having them compete in my mind with daily tasks and studies as well as to hear others offer questions and beliefs similar to my own as well as new thoughts to challenge me

I attend the unveiling of the memorial statue of Niklas Kennex at the Bard's college. I did not know the man well but respected his talent. It was nice to learn more about him from the memories shared by others

i was able to meet with several people in visiting the stacks this week. I had the pleasure of meeting Messere Diara for the first time and saying hi to Messere Caspian which is always a pleasure. I even helped Lord Erik Grimhall find a book. He is interested in a topic which i know something of. I hope we ge to talk soon

I have had one of those moments which remind me both how life can change in the blink of an eye and how easily one can come to take things for granted. Each time one of these moments I resolve to live life with no regrets and greater appreciation for the gifts that surround me. and yet on the next occasion have regrets nontheless. still the effort is worth it and life continues. When the wind changes direction, one must be prepared to stand.

Another helpful scholars meeting. I was able to share knowledge with others this time. I like being able to contribute and to speak with Messere Tarik again after some time. Lord Vitalis provided me vital information on a topic of interst at an earlier private meeting as well

It was lovely to see so many honored at Bastion celebration. Even some who were gravely injured in battle were able to stand before the highlord to receive their award. i'm also glad the song was included to honor the fallen which was the most important part of the evening i feel, though the dance I shared with Lord Mattheu was a delight
