As I sit here at my desk, my eyes can't help but grow weary. I see the charts, books, maps and notes I have made about what is to come. I'm lost, I take some time to pray, though for what I am not entirely even sure.

My heart is troubled, though not afraid, if death comes for me, it shall at least taste my axe blade. My plans are well documented, thought out over time. My crew and some of our men and vassals drill with a group of the Kings Own, my research has led me to some interesting places, my siblings have pledged their aid, now if I can just move a few more pieces into the right places, I think my men shall contribute greatly to the coming battle.

We will no doubt lose many, though I ultimately believe Thrax and the rest of the Arvum forces shall have victory. The cost of victory is, however, never cheap, but it is a price we are willing to pay.

Tears in our wake, never at our wake.

Hello book,

It has been some time since I have been to shore for this length of time. I must admit, I had forgotten some of the comforts here, not that the Serpents Tide isn't well suited for me, but the people here are a delight. I look forward to meeting more of them, for alas, with what looms I am not sure I will have many more days in this life.
