Relationship Note on Katarina
The Princess from across the sea is a new addition to our family. Her story is a fascinating one. One I won't repeat here because it is hers to tell and I think people owe it to themselves to coming to her and hearing it for themselves. Talking about our traditions and our history to someone that is entirely an outsider has really been startling for me. It has made me realize how much I take for granted.
In the Oathlands we are pretty set in our ways. We feel like we have things pretty well figured out and we do not always like to try new things. I think it's good to have to step out of our comfort zones and learn new things and about new people. Also she seems to be very knowledgeable about sailing and more maritime ventures. Something my people are lacking in outside of the Safecove's Barony.

Katarina has been an interesting discovery. She is one of the few in Arx I can converse in the language of my father. I look forward to understanding more of her and determining if she can be trusted.

Relationship Note on Katarina
We came across Katarina at what I am sure was rather a low point for her, all things considered. Her story is hers to tell, of course, so I will not rehash it here. I will just say that she's been a delight to have with us, as a ward of Valardin. It seems that nothing will dampen her enthusiasm to forge ahead and learn a new way of life here in Arx. I only hope that I steer her in the right directions and am able to help her learn what she needs and wants to know, so she can make the kind of difference she'd like to.

Relationship Note on Katarina
Receiving the Princess and welcoming her to the Valardin ward was very interesting. The city is a big enough mix of cultures already, and takes adjusting to by folks from the realm itself, let alone from foreign kingdoms. I remember being lost and out of place at first. I can only imagine how she feels.

A Eurusi princess -- one with an attractive hue about her. Only with my family and the lingering one or two servants that served my father and mother do I get to converse in the native tongue. There are days I hunger for blood and war in the Dune Kingdoms.
