I'm impressed that he managed to hold a quill long enough to opine considering how much he's getting pinned down and slobbered on. I'm pretty sure even if Aleksei's knees work correctly again, Peanut isn't letting him out of bed anytime soon. Those of you who know this little household know that Peanut is generally a pretty happy dog, but I invite you to imagine the transports of delight he went into when his master returned after his long absence.

Today I saw a man today, who would only take water in front of one of the shrines. I hope he doesn't die of the cold. I also hope he has plans on what he should do if he should need to bathe, or relieve himself. Truly curious.

Blessed Aleksei will be sorely missed within the Faith. He has been a guiding influence in my life. I hope that he finds peace on whatever new path lies before him. To leave the Faith from such a high position within its ranks... it must have been important.

I don't know what the reasons are, nor do I care. You took a heavy burden to help the Faith, and were willing to give your life to it. Whatever has drawn you away, I am sure is important. Escuma and Whitefrost do not engage in thralldom, Archlector. It's an imperfect word that does a poor job of describing what occurs. I use it only because it's convenient, as trying to help educate people as to the realities on our isles gives *me* a headache. A man can only spend so long trying to explain truth into the shrieking wind before the very effort becomes wearying.
