Met with the Chief Magistrate, Octavia, today. She seemed really impressed with my credentials! I brought all my certifications, transcripts, and journals. She was wearing the heavy chains of office, even in her private dwelling space. Very dedicated. Looking forward to working with her.

I did not wake up this morning expecting to see a body get flung into a statue so hard it crumpled like a pumpkin. Having trouble sleeping, now. I keep seeing the Bringers when I close my eyes. The gore, the blood... Percephon tells me that I helped save some knights and other people, but... I just remember being splashed with blood. Flying bodies. Monsters.

The City! Finally arrived, just before the gates closed. Wasn't expecting that, honestly. Stuck here for the siege, it would seem, right when things are going to get tense. Also ran into that oaf Jhond. Still a jerk. Sort of. Kinda?
