My Pa, who I realize more and more was filled with odd sayings, once told me this one:
"Son, when you see a bit of chocolate on the table, make sure and stare at it carefully. Study every detail, and consider it in its entirety. Because sometimes, it /is/ a delicious treat...and sometimes, it's just old droppings."
