The last battle was one of the few I have managed to come out with out a single injury. It was a long fight and while it would have been nice to keep that witch alive, I was only able to stop her by killing her in a last attempt. I hope ember will be alright She is one hell of a fighter, but we are all human

Relationship Note on Oskar
Received a message from my near-brother Oskar wondering how I have been. Eswynds (men mostly) express their emotions through battle so this message is from a genuine place. (Also its probably because most can't write too ) I cannot wait to get together and catch up! Being prodigal may get you looked down upon most of the time, but with family whos loyalty towards one another no know bounds, i would say is a hell of a lot more refined then any fancy noble. Although, I do like some aspects of their lives, but mine has afforded me the chance to travel and grow. Look at me I got off topic again.

I always enjoy learning new things in life. And combat is one I have the least amount of experience in. So its great to have my near-brother take the time to train me. He's a great teacher, and even though our personalities are quite different, when it comes to training, Eswynds understand in ways i'm sure outsiders would think quite drastic but we are revers after all

Its sad thinking about all the children that get left behind in the aftermath of a battle. Hopefully some can be placed in good places to live, but I am sure that the scars left behind from it will never fade. I know all too well of those, but mine differ because I have my family still, so I can only understand to an extent.

So ends the long awaited yet fully known Eswynd Victory over the Shaavs. It wasn't without loss and although we may have been the victors, we lost many of our warriors. They fought until the very end and without them and the help of our allies, This time at least I was able to not be almost impaled. My archery has gotten a lot better. Nailed the chieftain in the throat from far away. Must say I'm surprised considering i spent most of my time missing and then avoiding any attacks at me. quite frustrating to feel like you are in a limbo in battle.

Things have been quiet lately. Not that I mind much. The last battle Eswynds had was quite tame compared the one before. My brother Odin looked quite cool delivering the finishing blow, working along side Haakon. I always have enjoyed watching them fight together since I was little. Being the youngest and after fathers accident, He ended up doting on me which one would think might make me come off as spoiled, but didn't. Our next and i believe last fight draws near.

My little sparring session with Odin was quite fun., Although I did get my ass kicked. I put up a good fight tho. Hmph him making his little joke since we were kids about my sword being a stick. You try to use a stick as a sword ONE TIME, okay maybe a couple, and you never live it down. I most certainly missed that brother of mine.

I got the the cutest puppy from Lady Kiera yesterday. Meeting up with her and Lord Mattheu, who had taken out Lady Thea's octopus out cause he said it wanted to come out to play. He is quite the interesting person. lol in a good way of course! The puppys' name was Smokey, but to honor my new friendship with Phani (theophania) I will call him the name she gave when I asked her, Dorius. I am looking forward to this new friendship with a girl friend. I don't have any. I mean I treasure Medeia And Norah, but they are family, and wives to my brothers. Growing up, as the youngest AND a girl, I was always trying to be of of the boys, but now in the compact. I embrace my femnine side....well, not always but its nice when I can!

Enjoyed some teaching from my near-brother. Archery, war and survival. If the last battle taught me anything, is that I was too hasty in my fighting. I lacked a bit of the skill to back it up. Maybe the battles before since they weren't so bad, left me a little but overconfident, Now I feel better about my skills when I have worked hard in training. Lets hope the next upcoming battle will be a show of all the fruits of my labor.

The other day was just ridiculous. On my way to meet up with Phani, (Theophania) for lunch I ran into Lord Titus. We exchanged some words and still felt the effects from our last battle. Lady Thea and Lady Kiera came and helped us feel much better. Once we had gone to the market in Central. It was soooo busy! Another prodigal Lord Mattheu, joined us with his friendly jingling approach. Titus made a hilarious joke about fasting in response to him saying something about him being hungry. Titus took his leave and then talked a little while with Lady Kiera and Lord Mattheu. I found out she breeds Masstifs and shall be getting one when I mentioned how I had been wanting a dog of my own. So exited. After they departed and hours had passed, I took Phani to traders tavern and paid for our meal. I grew much closer to her and I look forward to our friendship. Was a good day after a really bad fight, man that was really brutal. I must not fight carelessly next time.Eswynd blood gets pumping and we don't know how to stop.

Relationship Note on Haakon
Despite how much he favors tradition over anything progressive, I can see why when we are out in battle. Revers through and through we are. I myself, as much as I love how new The Compact is, and how everything is so fancy. I never forget the home on the Isle that I grew up on. Those days as children, yearning to join the revers on the next place to raid. I am as proud an Eswynd as my near-brother. I may poke fun and annoy him with cheeky comments but he has my upmost respect and loyalty. Fighting along side him and our Allies have humbled me once again.

Seems I have not quite got the hand of my new bow and arrow, but I shall keep practicing. Fighting Shaavs is good practice. Although, I did get whacked a bit good. Thanks be to Savio for saving me in the nick of time so i only get a knick on mine..shoulder from an axe slash. Oh rather witty that joke. HA But I suppose it is not in good fashion to laugh so hard at ones,however clever they may be, jokes. Well, born on the Isles I was, so fashion wasn't much a thing, you'd think writing I would stop from rambling. That near-brother-of mine would probably have my head on a pike if he heard me prattling and rambling like a silly school girl. oops suppose I shall end my thoughts here.
