I have returned to Arx after my regretfully unannounced absence. It is good to know that none of my house fell gravely ill or were injured in my absence. I do not know if I could have forgiven myself.

I went to the Velenosa Grounds, quite beautiful I might add, to wish the very best to Count Giulio and Ilinca Corvini. I also found out I am terrible at delivering a jest. That is probably the last time I attempt such a thing without prior teaching, I'm sure my brother Drake would have been excellent in that regard. Alas I am not as smooth with that type of thing. Give me books, someone in need of my medical talents or a battle any other day. Maybe one day I might learn the art of humor. Or perhaps that's just not my forte.

It seems like Arx confronts a new threat in the form of this Slaver. Apparently he intends to defile the Lodge of Petrichor. I certainly will be there up in the defense. Merely a time to figure out what strategy will be followed for this battle. Thus I am training a bit more so as to be ready for such a moment. I must remain strong and vigilant, so that the Compact may go onward.

Today was a very difficult day, but at the same time a productive one. A group of people dedicated to fighting the good fight, managed to deal with the origin of the disease in the form of dogs, a horrible looking bear and a warehouse fulled of ill people apparently enslaved. We managed to aid those who required it and move them to the Clinic. Thankfully with a viable cure I am quite sure that we will be able to help these people to get better.

These recent days have been quite complicated. There seems to be a strange disease in Arx. Seems like it gets transferred by bites and scratches. The effects of the disease seems to be high fever, increased aggression and seems to lead to a coma. The disease is causing the veins near the head and neck to look purple. Seems its a phlegmatic condition. I suggested some alternate treatments but will do them where required.
