My sister has returned and with that return she has already seen about trying to run my life. Of course I say this is the adoration that siblings share and while I admit it has been bumpy, there are many resources that I hand over to her willingly so as to have another set of eyes on the current endeavors that Harthall is expanding into.

Relationship Note on Violet
Hiring the Crimson Blades to perform a substantial expedition has been one of my more positive endeavors. I have been pleasantly surprised with their professionalism and their conduct during their work and the tact that had been applied during the course of the adventure per se. I shall look forward to hiring them again soon.

Of all the different levels and reachings of contracts, I have found that marriage contracts are the ones with the greatest number of unknowns, with a reliance heavily upon the wills of the gods to provide that which is agreed upon. I cannot say that I am whole in my reservedness for such things, but the future shall remain uncertain, though perhaps with a few extra letters and signatures.

There are so many rumors of pirates and lost ships and the attacks on various merchant vessels alike. If someone has more information and has a desire to discuss remedial activities, please do seek me out in person. Otherwise I am always curious how these things continue to go about unchecked.

It is good to see that my cousin has moved through the social circles and made impressions upon those whom would hold her in esteem throughout the city. That she is able to move in such circles and come away still containing joy and exuberance in life and maintaining a sense of self is something that is not only commendable, but in these times it is also necessary.

Every now and again, one receives a pleasant surprise that is entirely unexpected. My cousin has arrived in Arx with the presumption that she is to wed someone soon so as to best create an opportunity for the house on a whole. With the Keep running efficiently and our members of the house finding ways to interact and connect with the citizens and nobles of Arx, I find myself finally at a place where I can devote my private time to what I used to do. Not that I have shirked my devotions, or even that I had arranged my priorities, but now I find myself attending the Shrine of Gild more frequently, engaging with the disciples there in relative comfort and conversation.
It has been too long, and now that I am reconnected in such ways, I am rediscovering the solace that comes when sharing one's more esoteric thoughts with those whom also enjoy such conversation.
For those that take a moment to read this, I would encourage you to set your works and goals before the shrine, pray for Gild's blessing and perhaps the paths that seem difficult will become more clear, and with them, may your benefits be plenty.

A lovely dinner with the Count and Countess Keaton. If someone has yet to take them upon their offer of hospitality, I assure you, do go and you will be quite pleasantly surprised in their reception.
Of course business was discussed, I do not believe that I can go anywhere without speaking business, but the additional conversation of family matters, understanding Arx, and the politics that go on within, they were superbly well prepared and I left feeling educated.
Again, I cannot say enough about this wonderful couple and I do look so forward to furthering the relations between our two houses.

Ah, what a lovely evening with the Marquessa and her Marquis. Not only was she direct in such a way that I have yet to see from a Lycene, but her understanding of the needs and desires for business over just base pleasures was both reassuring and enlightening. I do look forward to spending more time with the Mazetti family in the days to come, for there are many projects that we can pool our resources for, aiding and growing both houses from West to South.

His skills in directing and distributing the men and women that we have in Fair Harbour, while working with the Counties and their needs, is second to none. As our fair march grows, I am thankful to have him at my side, aiding with all of his skills at making things not only efficient, but even more effective for us all.

We have survived our first fortnight in Arx. Already the Keep is beginning to look lived in. A new fountain by way of donation from the Highlady of Thrax herself, and the courtyard has begun to take upon itself a life of its own, dedicated to both Gild and Mangata.
Soon the Trade office shall be opened and we can continue to expand our trading networks. It has been a long road so far, even though it has not even yet been a month. However, I have found many of my dealings with the current citizens and nobles of Arx to be rather complimentary and beneficial to all involved. I do hope that we can continue with such a trend.

We are here my dear. After years away from the city, and chasing the sun upon the sea, we are now Marquis and Marquessa and the city of Arx has never looked so ready an opportunity.
So we come, so we shall remain until Mangata and Gild call us home. I feel for now that Lagoma's blessing will be upon us and we shall have our children within the city, raise them on the commerce and trade, the joy and laughter, and the strange, yet wonderful sights that the city has for us.
It is a time of new beginnings and I can think of no one other than you whom I would start this chapter with.
