Relationship Note on Alarissa
I was pleased to speak with Her Grace, Princess Alarissa regarding her upcoming journey. We discussed many behaviors and the details that the common folk of the Compact, especially those outside the walls of Arx, care for deeply. I also helped her braid hair. It is an essential skill for any young woman setting off on her own for a time.

I commissioned a horse for Princess Macda Grayson, Sir Highnormous. He is a spirited courser, it is true, but I feel he will be well matched to the Princess.
It was good to get back to my work without worrying about the Lodge. Of course, I am worried, but that's not the point.
Our Hunters are also practicing their riding around the forest. It's going well.

I fixed the Hall of Heroes from one monster who tried to destroy it. I really don't want to have to do that again.

I have written to the Dominus, and the Legate, as to the stance the Lodge should take, as there seems some uncertainty as to the stance the Lodge should be taking in this matter.
To be clear. I do not disagree with the stance of the Dominus. The issue I have concerns the most famous figure in the known history of Petrichor's worship; Blessed Pena, Beloved of Petrichor, the Last Hierophant. Also, the founder of the Shaman's Path of Storms. The Lodge has been studying and seeking to emulate Blessed Pena's work for some time; and it seems to me that we must now cease, or step away from the Faith.
I await their reply, for it does matter to us. My own stance is that I am not a shaman; I have not talked to spirits, I know nothing really of them. Yet I cannot deny the path Pena walked; to remain true to the Faith, I must. This is, then, for minds greater than mine to unravel.

The Lodge has acquired a greenhouse, courtesy of Mistress Penrose. It looks comfortable enough, as well as letting us grow things as we would in the Saiklands.

I am glad to be returned to land once more. I am making my way back to Arx; it will be a pleasure to return. I have much to discuss and much I should do, but primarily, I have duties to discharge before I can finalize my future plans.

- the Crimson Seed, the alaricite bow gifted by the Nox'alfar, is to be returned to the Faith who placed it in my keeping
- my armor and spear, the golden horn, and my books, are the property of the Lodge of Petrichor
- If allowed, Aletta, my hawk, be given leave to remain at the Lodge in peace, for the rest of her days
- The rest of my goods - my horse, my clothes, my accounts - are properly the property of the family Saik, and I ask them to dispose of them as they best see fit, for Lord Karadoc and Baroness-Regent Lucita Saiks to have that final word.
- I do not ask any of my black journals be released
- Should my body be returned to the Compact, I do not seek any burial beyond that fitting a vassal of Saik.
This is all I can ask for

I've spoken with Master Barik, who approached me to discuss the Lodge and potentially joining it. Some of what he said made me consider how the Lodge has been progressing. On my return, I'll ask him what he has found of us.

I've procured a number of sea cloaks for our travel, and I'm sending them to those who will be travelling. I'm very proud of the design, and I spent time waxing them myself.
