I stopped into the spirits bar for a bit of relaxation. There was a bit of playful roughhosing going on. Not unusual for the spirits. There was also talk of a future mudwrestlng match. It should be fun to spectate.

You know scholar so much time has passed since i've come to arx and yet at times i feel that nothing has changed and yet with all the blood and tears shed in the interim I know well that's not the case. Almost no one left in the compact who has not endured the pain of losing a loved one. No one left to make the mistake that when one learns to smile, laugh and love again, it means that the loved one and the pain of loss is forgotten. no it only means that the anger and desire to dwell in perpetual sorrow has lessened some. I would be remiss if i did not acknowledge I am blessed to have most of my dear friends and family alive and around me yet while so many have lost everything
And yet I still think of my dear friend regularly. Still hope his wife is well and his children growing strong. I still ocassionally yearn for a quiet chat in the sanna garden despite the love that surrounds me by the generosity of others. for the space in your heart you give to a person is never filled in by another, it simply expands to allow for new love. with each new tale of recent loss that someone shares with me I won't deny that a bit of the pain of loss and the desire to hate returns. I guess I agree with the followers of the thirteenth on that score, tis better to acknowlege my dark emotions head on and vow to fight them with all my strength allowing the love sacrifice and courage of those lost to seve as example. In Memory of Dame Felicia Harrow, and all those lost in the recent battles in the crownlands and artshall, i fight on

My right hand is healing well but slowly. i've been leaning on angeline and the scholars for writing. trying to write with my left hand proved decidedly ineffective. I imagine that it looked like something Messere zakhar's chicken had written, but I tried. Lord Mattheu has the proof. Not that any court would be able to prove it mine I fear

The sight of artshall in ruin is almos indescribable , but even in the gravest devistation there are a glimmers of hope as i saw some survivors that had taken shelter in the hospital there rescued.. This would not have been possible were it not for the bravery of one individual battered and scared who managed to crawl through the smallest of crack in the rubble to bring help to her fellow survivors. A true inspiration as are all those who managed to survive

i had a difficult conversation with a friend this week. When we met we caught each other in an embrace and I just wanted to stay in that moment and nearly lost the courage to say what needed to be said. A moment after which things will likely change. And it isn't over yet. Still more difficult conversations to be has choices to be made. so many people are suffering to such a great degree i don't dare wish for more peace than i've been granted and pray i have strenth for what's to come

I shared and received information with many this past week. much of was somber that i was glad to share what I could, greatful to receive what was given and reminded time and again how difficult it is to adhere to my beliefs as as scholar, how frequently i believe i know what is right and what is true, how reflexive it is for the mind to react to shut out information inconsist with my own beliefs out of fear or anger. Also, how easy it is to believe that what I intended to be. miscommunication is easy. successful communication takes patience which I often lack, but i continue to try to be open to ideas that contradict my own and the patience to communicate clearly.

Princess Keely's dance class was a wonderful event. She was a wonderful hostess and instructor. my thanks to all the other wonderful instrctors Nina Autumndale, Princess Denica and Lord Martino, Prince Theo and Lord Mattheu and Messere Dino. Thanks also over course to my two spectacular partners during the evening Lord Teague and Champion Caspian. I look forward to the next event.

Drake threw thea an overdue birthday party for Thea aboard the Seas the day. It was a small but delightful gathering. We really must make more time for social gatherings. I got to see my friend cadern. We quickly board others with our scholar talk so we tabled it for a later time. I'm looking forward to continue our discusion. I do love my scholat talk
