Relationship Note on Ophelia

One winter afternoon I came across a princess Ophelia. Despite her status, she was among the kindest women I have ever been blessed to meet. What particularly caught my attention, however, was how great she and Serah got along. They seem mutually caring for each other, and that has spoken volumes to me.

With the coming battle, I was stressing on where Serah would be best safe; I considered asking Caelis, but feared she would also be called. I am proud to say there is no one else I would trust her with off the field of battle than with Ophelia. She is a friend worthy of my trust and respect.

On a side note: I would not be opposed to learning more about her a person. She has a good head on her shoulders.

Relationship Note on Ophelia

I have my Phil back and it has helped more than I could have imagined, despite mourning, heartbreak, and despondency. She is just so accepting of my foibles while still being willing to kick my ass if I'm getting in my own way. Gods forbid though if she keeps talking about seeing me settled and making her an Auntie though. That's not a thing I see happening any time soon, if ever.

Relationship Note on Ophelia

Well, scratch that. Ophelia is very much a squealing Princess. Not a prince. Not a nephew. She is his favorite -niece-. Blame it on the whiskey, or two. Or bottle. ...you don't have to record -that- *the ink is scratched here, a few ink splotches trailing down the rest of the page*

Relationship Note on Ophelia

The supposed dearest nephew of Duke Niccolo. I had seen her once before, squealing much to the displeasure of my eardrums at the sight of a foal. Come to find out that apparently she is an avid hunter? Now that I did not see coming. She has expressed an interest in hunting a bear, but I am certain she means the literal animal. Any other metaphorical prey would not end well for her. Either way, I have given her my word to take her hunting either down here in the south or up north. If successful, we'll have matching headdresses. I admit that it would be rather cute. ....I mean, fierce. Fierce? Is that the fashion word Natalia used?

Relationship Note on Ophelia

I found another dead gull in the hallway today. I'm pretty sure this is Ophelia's latest toy forgotten in a moment of flighty ditziness. I might bring back a boar's head and leave it in her room next time I'm done hunting. Let's see if she approves of my reciprocation of her familial love.

Relationship Note on Ophelia

Ah, my dearest of nieces. Ophelia is certainly very dear to me. She has a sense of humor, that is so clever. True, most of the times I'm not sure if she realizes she's being humorous and that is perhaps part of her charm. She reminds me that even during my most serious moments, there is room to take the time and make a dear niece happy, sometimes with the simplest of things. Sometimes, with the strangest of things, but usually with little effort on my part. Her devotion to her brother is admirable, and while I once thought it misplaced, I don't think that's the case anymore.

Relationship Note on Ophelia

Truly a delight to interact with, I believe Princess Ophelia may be one of the few people in existence who is capable of cheering up the Prince Inquisitor. She also has a penchant for skillful bird murder, which is an asset to any hunting party who wishes to have a buffet consisting of more than one meat.

Relationship Note on Ophelia

Princess Ophelia is an excellent archer. She skewered a bird mid-flight during that competition! Way better than actually hitting the target, in my opinion. One day that hunt will actually happen so we can all see more of that action. I'd like to think we'll get along really well, I just wish she'd stop asking me questions about her brother. He's fine!

Relationship Note on Ophelia

I have found myself writing about nobles who exemplify the qualities they should have, now I appear to have encountered one who wallows in negative stereotypes. Whilst I am sure she is quite adorable to the right person she also appears to be quite mad and utterly self absorbed, unable to comprehend a universe which does not revolve around herself.

Relationship Note on Ophelia

Princess Ophelia Velenosa is someone I recently encountered during a trip to the Ambassador's Salon. I was indulging in a bit of gossip with Princess Valencia when this cherubic ball of capricious energy just flitted in and started talking about some birds she'd killed in the bell tower. I thought she'd been sniffing Dust, or was sun-touched at first, the poor girl. But then, as I was getting her to recount her story, it struck me that she's simply a rarity amongst wolves and vultures; she holds this innocence, a natural naviete that is both alarming and refreshing all at once. It makes you want to protect such a beautiful thing, or at least enjoy her when she graces you with her attention. I don't know if it's all a facade to draw the unsuspecting in, but only time will tell. At least she always has the most fascinating stories.

Relationship Note on Ophelia

I'm glad she's come to Arx. I can keep an eye out for her, here. In theory, at least. In practice she's usually just on item five of her list by the time I'm ready to doze off.

Relationship Note on Ophelia

Flighty at best, Princess Ophelia Velenosa was nevertheless one of those members of the family that Talen kept his eye on with keen interest. Should her highness choose to dive into trouble without a look askance, the Sword certainly thought it his duty to be present so he could intervene accordingly... and if nothing would curb her whims, at least take part.
